hello, I'm new to this community that I have just found out.
I want to train for football, I'm 16 and not to brag or anything but I can say that I'm above average when it comes it skill. I personally don't like how my school trains so I want to train outside. how could I start and where? Should I join a club? should I hire someone? I'm really clueless here. Usually hang out at turf but I think im taking it too fast and I want to go back to drills and training.
Thanks.

You'd better look for a football club; an amateur weekend team with a minimal membership fee will do. Just make sure you get what you pay for as most of them do it just for fun or recreation. If you have money to spare, you can also try out for a pro/semi-pro club, if there's any at where you live. A good example would be a UFL club. It may cost you a bit more to join or try out but the training will be better. You can also keep yourself posted for any football festival that may come out at where you live. Hope this helps. If you have more concerns, you may contact "teddyandtimmysdad" on this forum via PM. Thanks.

Thanks for the answer Stellarboy!
Is this different from an academy? like Kaya FC academy? when I join an amateur weekend team, do I need to try out or do I just need to pay?

Thanks for the answer Stellarboy! Is this different from an academy? like Kaya FC academy? when I join an amateur weekend team, do I need to try out or do I just need to pay? Some football academies are run by clubs, like the Kaya FC Academy you mentioned, which are usually feeders for their youth teams. Some are run by private entities or by individuals like the Younghusband Football Academy. As for the amateur teams, most don't really do tryouts if the team is just meant to play for recreation. Although if they're involved in the local league setup, they most likely require players to do tryouts. By the way, do you live in the Metro Manila area?
