FT: 4-4 Global vs DPMM. Global advances because of aggregate score (5-4). Based on the updates on FB, all DPMM goals were scored against Sacapano (Sadia was replaced midway thru the match due to injury).

if ever this will be the case, a Filipino club playing in the S-league, i hope it will be our U-23 team sponsored by San Miguel. on the topic: congrats Global. this. Hoho. Pero Harimau Muda will withdraw sa S-League by 2015, and Lions XII (the hated club by the malaysians) will withdraw naman from Malaysia Super League by the same year. Possibility na papalit ang ating U-23 sa S-League, can be of possibility but don't count on it. One more thin, the attendance of the league ain't good, we can compete din sa attendance (via UFL). Singaporeans support the LionsXII playin' in the MSL kesa sa S-league sadly. me Returns kaya ang venture ng U23 if they will play there? kasi no problem naman ang Harimau muda, they will just cross the border at ang Brunei, short flight lang, and we're farther from the rest of the teams.

That's why I think the idea was pitched in, as attendance in the league has been dwindling. They want to attract the OFW market.
In terms of logistics and accommodations, it can be costly.

UFL would die if they allow a Global or a Loyola to join S-League. If SG want their stadiums to always be filled up, they should invite Azkals to a friendly more often. Or maybe expand the S-Cup so that it would include a group stage (thus more games for the invited PH teams). PFF and UFL, at the moment, can not afford to lose the best teams/best players because we are still in the process of developing a national league here.

here's the photo of Jang Jowon's late challenge on Salleh that resulted a red card and the Singaporean suffered a fractured fibula. and now many of the Singaporean fans hates the filipino club because of this and they don't want their organizers to invite a pinoy club again
