In their recent games, I wonder why Stephan Schrock and Jerry Lucena are not used even not on the line-up in their respective clubs. Any ideas why? They don't have injuries. In Fulham, their first choice has recovered from his injury and Stockdale is back as second choice keeper making Etheridge back as third choice. Will he now be loaned this season? Ever since Stephan moved from Greuther Fürth he hasn't been able to secure a starting spot. Me/we as Azkal fans he is the best but in the Bundesliga he isn't anything special, more like average. It's got nothing to do with match fitness but it's got everything to do with a league full of great players.Jerry Lucena is getting up there in age but he still has enough speed and savvy to spare, perhaps his team just want to give younger players more playing time. Last season he played in quite a few games. I don't think they'll put him back as a starter anytime soon, his team is knocking on a 1st place finish in the Superliga! The good part for us as Azkal fans, when they don't get lots of playing time they come to play for the NT just to keep their match fitness high. Anyone sign Mulders yet? The starting Right Back for the Eintracht Frankfurt is Sebastian Jung who is a member of Germany National Team..

The starting Right Back for the Eintracht Frankfurt is Sebastian Jung who is a member of Germany National Team.. Sebastian Jung: A solution to Germany’s right-back problem By Aditya Balaram / 14 January 2013 Eintracht Frankfurt’s attack has received plaudits from all across Germany and the side, against all odds, currently sit in fourth position, looking very likely to play in Europe next season. From a defensive perspective, three players have been the backbone of this remarkable side and one of those is 22-year-old right-back Sebastian Jung. Jung started his career with the Eintracht Frankfurt youth side at the age of seventeen. His stint in the lower leagues didn’t last too long as deficiencies at right back in the senior team saw the youngster called up to play in the Bundesliga. Jung’s first run in the main team lasted just six starts and he was returned to the Frankfurt II side in the Regionalliga Süd. He returned to the main side once more after just a few months, though, as back up to Patrick Ochs. Although Jung wasn’t given too many chances to showcase his abilities, this was a good learning experience for the then 19-year-old. These second fiddle performances proved to be enough for a call up to the U-20 national team. The young Germans had a superb 2009 and Jung an an integral part of this side. The subsequent movement of Ochs into a right midfield position in the 2010-11 season meant that Jung became Frankfurt’s first choice right back. Jung’s solidity on the right flank earned him a call-up to the Germany Under-21 side but he was unable to push for a regular starting position with the junior national team. Eintracht Frankfurt’s season was far from acceptable and 2011 marked their fall into the 2.Bundesliga. The club’s drop to the 2.Bundesliga and the arrival of new coach Armin Veh catalyzed the club’s revival and Sebastian Jung’s growth. The Eagles had a commendable season in the lower division, finishing second and making a quick return to the top flight of German football. The drop in quality of opposition gave Jung a huge confidence boost and the youngster became a key figure in the Frankfurt defense that ended the season with the second best record in the league. His constant growth under Veh saw him become a regular feature with the German Under-21 side, with Jung playing a key role in the national team’s qualification to the Under-21 European Championships to be held in 2013. Eintracht’s return to the Bundesliga this season and their remarkable campaign thus far would surely not have been possible without Sebastian Jung’s brilliance at right back. The 22-year-old has taken the league by storm with his defensive capabilities and has possibly been the league’s second best right back, second only to Leverkusen’s Dani Carvajal. Not the most attacking wing-back, Jung has been hugely influential to Eintracht Frankfurt’s defence this season. Averaging about two tackles and two-and-a-half interceptions per game, Jung has been without doubt Eintracht Frankfurt’s most stable defender. His superb outings this season were enough to earn a call up to the German senior national team in late 2012. At just 22, Jung has a long way to go and the acid test will begin only once he moves on to play at a higher level. The likes of Andreas Beck, Benedikt Höwedes and Jerome Boateng have all tried their hand at right back but never managed to live up to expectations for the national team. In Jung, Joachim Löw has a defensively sound player with great fitness and boundless energy. The sky is truly the limit for Sebastian Jung.

Stephan's ability to play multiple positions was one of the reasons why EF acquired him from Hoffenheim. For depth yan.

Schrock had a good game today. though they lost 4-2 against Maccabi of Israel, Eintracht Frankfurt were the better team in the second half. he assisted the first goal and created some good cross that his teammates failed to convert

Saw Schrocks and Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bordeaux the other day. They won and supposedly are on top of their Group(F). Their only goal was a result of his nice, crisp sideline pass that finally ended in the net. He subbed in at the half, started as a right winger, about 15 minutes later was in the left wing and about 10 minutes after finishing the game, back as it's right wing. Frankfurt was outplayed by the French Ligue 1 team most of the time but Frankfurts two CB's were pretty good stoppers. One of them Carlos Zambrano reminds me of Gier but multiplied by 5 Stephan is wearing a bleached blond look surprisingly it fits him!

Bayern Munich II drop three points away to FC Ingolstadt II after Hojbjerg missed penalty By Ryan Cowper ? @cowperryan on Mar 9 2014, 6:55p 2
The Bayern Munich reserves were the better side for the full 90 but were unable to come away with anything as they lost to FC Ingolstadt II.
It was a frustrating match for the Bayern Munich reserves as they traveled north to the town of Ingolstadt to take on the FC Ingolstadt reserves. In front of 650 spectators at the ESV Ingolstadt, Bayern Munich dropped all 3 points despite a superior performance on the evening. With several quality shots, some of which missed the goal by mere whiskers, it was a frustrating loss with FV Illertissen snapping at their heels in the table.
It took a 30-yard bomb from Ingolstadt defensive midfielder Manuel Ott in the 42nd minute to open the scoring. Seeing Lukas Raeder was off his line, the 21-year-old Philippines international let loose with a thunderbolt that screamed past Raeder and into the corner to put the home side up 1-0.
It wasn't until nearly 60 minutes had passed that Bayern Munich had their first truly clear cut opportunity. Striker Tobias Schweinsteiger was fouled in the area by Ingolstandt defender Patrick Walleth and the resulting penalty from Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg was well struck, yet unfortunately bounced off the post and out. It was enough to set the reserves alight as the pounded the Ingolstadt goal for the remainder of the match. But alas it was to no avail.
Bayern Munich II's loss was answered by FV Illertissen who hammered their opponents to close within 1 point in the Regionalliga Bayern. The reserves have now lost three of their last four, and have allowed the entire chasing pack to close with them at the top of the table. With only 11 games left in the Regionalliga Bayern season, Erik ten Haag's side really need to pick up the pace if they are going to even have a chance to achieve promotion. Up next for the Bayern Munich reserves is the sixth-place TSV Buchbach who they will host at the Grünwald stadion.
