It will be very difficult for us to even go beyond our group. Myanmar and Vietnam are favorites to top our group. I know we can do it but it's going to be very tough.

Malditas grouped with Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia in 2013 SEA GamesThe Philippine national women’s football team will face its tough regional neighbors in the 2013 Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar in December. In a draw conducted on Wednesday, the Malditas were bracketed in Group A to join defending champion Vietnam, which won the tournament in 2009, host Myanmar and Indonesia. Women’s football was not staged in the 2011 edition of the biennial meet. Group B features 2009 runner-up Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and Timor Leste. The Malditas are coming off a string of impressive performances this year leading to the SEA Games. They fell just a victory short of qualifying to the prestigious Asian Women’s Cup last May, which boosted their place in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings where they climbed to 75th, an all-time high. The Malditas also scored a couple of lopsided victories in the ASEAN Football Federation Women’s Championships last September, where they also failed to make it past the group stages. Meanwhile, confusion stirred among Filipino fans when the Under-23 Azkals were included in the draw for the men’s football tournament. The U-23 Azkals were drawn alongside Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Laos in Group A, but the Filipinos are not expected to field a squad after Philippine sports officials decided to send a small delegation in protest to Myanmar’s “unfair” exclusion of some mainstream sports in the games. Per Coach Ernie on facebook:
"SEAG final line up will be releases tomorrow. Some players could not make it for personal and professional reasons. I hope to see them next year for the Asian games and AFF!"

Goodluck. Our group is the group of death. As of now, Myanmar (host) and Vietnam are the favorites to proceed to the next stage. I hope our team will do a miracle and upset against them. I'm rooting on our own

Yes. Group B is definitely the easier group. But sooner or later they will have to beat Myanmar so it might as well be now.
