Yeah, highly doubtful unless she wants to jeopardize her future. Coach Let told me injuries like that one take at least a month to be cleared by doctors. It's okay though, we have more strikers this time. Just hope they'll be up to the task.

Malaysia responded early in the second half, with Dadree Rofinus finding the equalizer in the 54th minute of action. The final say would come from the Philippines however, as former Ateneo striker Cam Rodriguez made a triumphant return to the National Team, scoring the go-ahead goal in the 74th minute to secure the win for the Philippine side. The Philippine women's team currently share the top spot of the standings with Thailand, both with three points. Up next for the Filipinas will be a matchup against Vietnam at the UM Arena Stadium on Thursday, August 17th at 4:00 PM.

The Philippine Malditas, as the women's team is fondly called, found themselves grouped with Myanmar and Malaysia in Group A. The other group sees Thailand and Vietnam, the finalists of the recently concluded ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Women's Championship, fight for a spot in the semis along with Indonesia. Maldita's head coach Let Dimzon believes their previous experience playing against Malaysia and Myanmar could be invaluable in their quest for a podium finish. "There is a great chance for us to be in the semifinals grouped with Malaysia and Myanmar, teams that we already played against in the recent AFF tournament," Dimzon said in a statement. "That tournament already gave us insight on the strength and weaknesses of these teams. With a collective effort and following one direction we can achieve it." tv5.espn.com/story/_/id/27856852/philippine-football-teams-eyeing-semis-berth-sea-games

PH Malditas hold Myanmar to scoreless draw for solid start to SEA Games bid The Philippines played through a scoreless draw over Myanmar, a decent result to start the 30th Southeast Asian Games women’s football tournament at the Biñan Football Stadium. The Malditas earned a point in the opening match against a team they lost to just last August, 3-0, in the bronze medal match of the AFF Women’s Championship. They also dropped a 6-0 decision against Myanmar in the SEA Games two years ago. The women’s team eyes a semifinal berth against Malaysia on Friday in their first-ever tournament at home since the 2005 SEA Games. Malditas coach Let Dimzon was satisfied with the draw, saying their training camp in Japan did wonders for the team. “This is the first time we drew against Myanmar. The result in this game is very far from our performance from the past years. I think our camp in Japan gave us a big help to improve the performance of the players,” she said. “From the start, we were prepared to be mentally tough. Since we’ve been losing to Myanmar, what we did is we strengthen our frontline and transition play. We have a lot of chances coming from transition, coming from defending to attack,” said Dimzon. www.spin.ph/multisport/sea-games/philippines-malditas-myanmar-draw-sea-games-womens-football-a795-20191126?ref=home_featured_3

The Philippines lost to Vietnam, 2-0, on Thursday night in the semifinals of the 30th Southeast Asian Games women’s football tournament at the Biñan Football Stadium. The Malditas fought tooth and nail against the Golden Girls in the first half, but the Vietnamese side showed why they are the reigning champions in the biennial meet. Thai Thi Thao slid home the first goal in the 60th minute and Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung struck in the 83th minute to the disappointment of most of the 2,509 in attendance for football’s final match in his bustling Laguna city. The Malditas can salvage a bronze medal when they go up against Myanmar on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. Myanmar dropped a 1-0 decision against Thailand on Thursday night at the Rizal venue. Malditas coach Let Dimzon said she saw improvement from her wards in the game against the reigning SEA Games champion. “Aside from the fitness, it’s the mentality of the players since we already know that we can perform well during this game. But ‘yung lapses can happen, every time,” she said. The closest the Malditas came to scoring was in the 73rd minute when Alisha Del Campo’s header hit the back of the net, only to be nullified by an offside. www.spin.ph/multisport/sea-games/philippines-vietnam-semifinals-sea-games-women-s-football-a795-20191205?ref=article_next_featured
