he had some faults on the game but IMHO majority is a poor defensive line against south china

grabe yung daga ni deyto sa dibdib. in football if you're afraid or scared don't play. I re watched yung game ni deyto lalo sa Thailand you can tell kabadong kabado sya. bring back neil or Rolland or better kahit si trigo na muna sa azkals. if deyto continue as a keeper I don't think we can make it kahit sa world cup qualifier.

I noticed his game went downhill when he was hit in the face in almost a 3-game succession vs Myanmar(Peace Cup), vs Ceres(FA League Cup), vs Nepal(friendly). He described one incident as "his face is wrecked".
also wore protective headgear in that Suzuki Cup away match vs Thailand due to an accident during training.
not sure if there is any connection at all but to me he became hesitant & apprehensive after those clashes.

don't get me wrong but I think its time to replace deyto as azkal and global keeper. I disagree. Chopping and changing will never help keepers develop. They can't take the blame for all the goals. Goalkeeper is a position you need stability, besides Deyto is only young and shows a lot of potential. Keepers can play on for a long career, much longer than outfield players, and to drop him now would only cause more problems than it's worth. Besides, the other players that would have a chance are either at the same level or worse. I'm thinking O'Donnel or Sacapano, or Casas. Deyto has excellent reflexes, as can be seen on South China's third goal. Although they scored, if he had pulled off that double save, that is truly world class. People need to stop being so quick to judge with these young filipino players, they are all still learning and you need to accept that there is not a huge pool to choose from. I've spoken to Global's sub keeper Jun Badelic on facebook, he seems like a nice lad and a good prospect, but he needs to be patient and wait for his time, at the moment Deyto is by far in my eyes, the best option for Global and the Azkals currently (Not including foreign based keepers).

I think Paolo Pascual is more better than him in term of skills and capability although is somewhat short.

deyto so far is our best young local goal keeper. i don't think paolo pascual can match him in terms of positioning and reflex imho. i don't mean to hype him up, pero if one had to watch deyto played with a sucky defense during his stint sa GAU, maiintindihan niyo. but then, this is ufl, malakas talaga ang south china, and mason, as a coach, hindi ko siya nakikitaan ng good defensive plan.
