Iain's club Melbourne Heart ends the 2013-2014 Australian A-League at the bottom of the table. No relegation in the league. Stats show he missed appearance in only one game of the season. I can't find the reference that says he is joining or will join the Scottish National Team. Any leads? We could always use another quality player. Good luck to us but I think he really wants to play for the Socceroos. Naturally because he's Australian.

I heard he is just waiting for the announcement on the Australia's roster for the Asian Cup and if he is not chosen, he will consider the Azkals instead.

It looks like Iain Ramsay has finally made his decision, and is in the process of acquiring his Philippine passport acc. to the inquirer.

Yes he is. According to a very reliable source he is sorting out the renewal of his old passport. It appears then that he has had Philippine passport.

Any chance you could approach Hagi Gligor to see if he has any interest to play for the Azkals. He is a current member of the Australian U23 national team and has played as captain for the U20's as well, but was not called up for the AFC Olympic qualifying team this March because of lack of playing time with his A league team. Just like Ramsay, it is always a good idea to ask him to consider the possibility early.

Melbourne City FC has announced it has released five players following the conclusion of the club's 2014/15 Hyundai A-League campaign. Damien Duff, Rob Wielaert, Iain Ramsay and Mate Dugandzic will not be remaining with John van't Schip's squad for the upcoming season. Kew Jaliens, who joined the club mid-season on a short-term injury replacement contract, has also been released. Captain Patrick Kisnorbo has agreed a one-year extension with the club and will return for the 2015/16 season. National Youth League product Paulo Retre, 22, has also secured a one-year extension to his existing contract. Hopefully....but he's still in his prime he can join other Top flight Asian leagues but please not TPL hehehe. If only other unsigned foreign based players but still active would join UFL like Paul Mulders and Ray Jonsson then it would be beneficial for both the players and the league. Dennis Cagara is still unsigned maybe he should follow suit.

Sorry if u misunderstood my reply...Yup I mean other unsigned Azkals like Dennis Cagara etc to follow Paul Mulders and Ray Jonsson altho both are recently not being called up for the national team they are still active in the Philippine football scene by playing in the UFL. The other Jonsson is Ray's younger brother Mike but he didn't return to the squad after a few games with Global FC. If its true that Dooley negotiated for Ransay's recruitment to the Phil national team in exchange for helping him get signed in MLS or Euro leagues then i think it worked

Dooley is very clever indeed. I just have a question though, is Dooley's involvement enabled Steuble to play for SKC.?
