A bit off topic too. Agree with all u guys about Maldives being biased should I say logistically and even match officiating. Remember the delayed game due to stormy sea travel with many players got sea sick and after a gruelling match they arrived back at the hotel at 6am. Instead of recovery for players they are deprived of sleep. And yeah they had the best time to play and travelling for them is hassle free. Of course the perks of a home team. Then these 2 recent matches between Maldives and Kyrgyzstan wherein the latter's coach complained in the post match conference about bias referees when they lost to the home team. Same thing with Afghanistan vs Turkmenistan. Seems like the refs are the ones who did the the elimination of the Turkmens a traditionally strong team. Will the upcoming crucial matches be decided again by the refs? I may sound like a conspiracy theorist but im just worried as a fan thats hopeful of our chances in winning this tournament. Just my thoughts.

I was told by Maldive fans that the reason they chose the Herathera island resort for the accommodations for group B was to show off the new island resort. Apparently the government is controlled by rich businessmen and tourist resort owners who wanted to use the tournament to showcase their resorts. They said it would have been better if Group B was housed at Equator Village in the western part of Addu island so they can just travel by bus. We could have lost the first game and the tournament because of this decision, but fortunately our players were committed to play a good game even though they suffered bouts of seasickness during the match against Afghanistan.
Fortunately from now on, we will be playing our games in the main stadium in Male, so they will have more time to rest.

I really hope our team will still prevail.
TKM will do their best to win since they badly need it. They wanted to take revenge on us. I think they will play their dirty tactics and everything to win since they're in desperate situation.
Short Trivia: Did you know Male Stadium (the stadium for tomorrow's game) is the stadium where PHI lost to TKM 5-0 in 2009 in their first meet for AFC CC 2010 Qualification Stage.
Some of our players were in that game like Etheridge, Gier, YHs etc.
Praying for a PHI win. Fingers Crossed.

TKM will be down 4 of their starting 11. That alone should be of help. Problem is we need to step up. PYH cannot miss any gifts, and the passing cannot be like it was against Laos. ruuikun - If you think Laos will get a point with Afghanistan, you believe in the Tooth Fairy. The Afghans will run riot over Laos.

They still have to travel by boat because they're housed again on another island (Bandos Island Resort).

We'll, it's really a sinister plan by the Maldivian organisers to exhaust and drain their opposition.

Look for new addition and late arriving attacking mid Ruslan Mingazow to play a big part in the Turkmenistan offence tommorow. We should still be able to contain him, as our defence has proven solid in this competition not allowing a goal yet, but I hope the Azkals will not be surprised by this new addition to the Turkmenistan offence.

"Who controls the midfield, will control the game."
I saw the game of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan yesterday and man, the reason why Afghanistan was able to operate their game and short passing was because the inefficiency of Turkmenistan's midfield defending. Almost 8 players of Afghanistan was playing in Turkmenistan half most of the time. Unlike against The Philippines, Afghanistan resorted to long balls since they cannot penetrate the Azkals midfield wall, as in "WALL". Expect the trio of Mulders, Schrock and Steuble to do the damage so as Lucena. But again, i want to stress, in this game, we should really score goals. If we win this game, this should be a good preparation for Palestine.

We'll, it's really a sinister plan by the Maldivian organisers to exhaust and drain their opposition. I remember several years ago in one of those WC qualifying games. Mexico was hosting the US. national team. Mexican fans subjected the USNT with a noise barrage in front of their hotel all night long. Then, when the US hosted Mexico, they had their game played in Ohio where it was cold and there was even snow if I am not mistaken. So, hosts sometimes try to do that to the visiting teams to gain some advantage.

He needs to come to Asia, as he will never get the playing time in Europe. I can see him in J-League 2, The V-League or the Thai Premier League. He will get nowhere in the UFL at the present time.As for Laos: They have long been piss-poor when it comes to conditioning. They will all crash around the Hour mark. If the Laotians are not leading by 2-3 goals by then, expect the massacre to commence.

Not when our Very own Patino was not released when we needed him the most. J League. or Maybe even Middle Eastern Clubs?. But he is still kinda young, so even a English Championship would be more suitable.
