I am told by a highly reliable source we might see a highly touted young player playing in Europe play in the UFL. Clue: He hasn't been capped for the Philippines yet.

sounds like it's Adam Reed. he went from Sunderland to a non-league club in a few years.

I've also heard that the iranians on previous rumors (some of them ) might have filipino roots, And one them is inquiring about the citizenship thing before suiting up in the league , (this means another azkals fil-iranian , Noticed this because I have seen the name in the scouting page. ) and they are age mid 20's , and some of them came from youth systems of Esteghlal and Persepolis. just what I saw in the paper. And any idea the quality of Lebanon ? I also heard that some of them are not of Iranian descent but Lebanese , playing on Iranian league. I wonder who tipped this guys about the football in the Philippines , we have seen this guys in the UFL , like the africans . and its a good thing . I think ?

Here's an excerpt of a conversation I had... "Mike ott is certainly good, so is Amin Nazari... You might just see him play for a local club soon." It appears there's no finality with this yet basing from the statement. Sharing this to quench our thirst for infos about local football seen. I hope I won't get in trouble by sharing this...hehe

Well I talk to a whole bunch of Iranians and Lebanese on bigsoccer and many of them seem to be interested in the Filipino football scene. Maybe they passed the info on.

I had a conversation with him on Facebook when he was still highly rated in Sweden and he seemed genuinely interested in the Philippine national football team. He and his brother even placed likes on Sandro Reyes'es facebook page. Palami had dinner with him and his family also during that time but he was still committed to the Swedish national team at that time.

Facebook update:
SHOCKING NEWS IN THE UFL: ARMY DROPPED OUT OF THE CUP. According to several sources, they will also be out of the league as well this year due to their non payment of the fee..Their withdrawal left FleetMarine (AKA Phil. Navy) as the lone AFP side in the tournament...
Green Archers United was given the win by default (3-0) yesterday after Army did not show up. The latter dropped the entire Korean contingent (supposedly after their team-up with GenTri Inter ended)...
____
In my opinion, if they cannot find any sponsors, they should just field a merged AFP contingent for the UFL league, in the meantime.
