how much is the points needed in order for us to be in the top two of the group? with these wins, im pretty sure we are gonna see a decent crowd at PSS on September. Misagh's workrate is effortless. he ran out of steam though. Palla also was having a hard time keeping up with the tempo of the game. the humid may also played a big part of some of our players. but it was a big win for us. congrats guys! From what I heard, it actually wasn't humid. It was hot but dry.

And they said we should sack Dooley. That formation proved he is good tactically. 2 wins against 2 capable Middle Eastern teams. Clearly now we cant deny the quality that Patigol and Ramsay brings to the team.

Post game comments by Dooley:
Im happy with the result. Im very happy and humbled about the way we played today. Almost everything worked. - Thomas Dooley
Im happy the way we moved the ball around, created chances. We've been working so hard. We're creating a team that works to be successful
Misagh and I had a long conversation last game and I told him how much we need him to do his job. - Dooley
"we have a unique team with unique skills. its all about doing the job collectively" - Dooley
"We preferred playing in a weather like this. Its hot but its not humid" - Dooley
"Yemen is very dangerous. They just dont play enough games" - Dooley

3-5-2 formation really paying-off. wonder why Dooley didn't used this formation against Thailand last Suzuki cup?

FYI Yemen is the whipping boys of Gulf region although I'll take this win anytime. They hardly played like whipping boys though. They were quite competitive last night, though lacking in ideas and firepower on the attacking end.

It took a while but Misagh is finally showing some growth in his game. Im glad he finally scored for the NT after all these years. He shown flashes from the Bahrain game in 2012 to the last Challenge Cup but I think he's arrived.
People has always downgraded his contribution by saying he's just a favorite of Palami(I've said it too in the past) the fact is, and if you watch UFL you would see it, he plays every play at 100 percent until his tongue is hanging out thats why even Dooley favors him now. What coach wouldnt like a player whos always aggressive and gives everything? He's got holes in his game but so did Chieffy and we know what he contributed to the NT.
Hes the Philippines' Kunanlan Subramaniam but faster.

Yeah right now, even though it is still early, I am already thinking that we have a pretty good chance of making it to the 3rd round of WC qualifiers next year where we will face such teams as Japan, S Korea and Australia. Wouldn't that be something?

Off topic but good to see Wiking, cjeagle, strikerbon, Caz, XYZ and a couple of other old names still active. Good to know the old dogs are still frequenting the forums.
Hopefully this new string of success will attract new members to the forums and more meaningful discussions.

respect to yemenis even though they have a wartorn country they did gave us a good fight last night. i my self did say that bahadoran is a favorite of palami, but wow this guy just prove me wrong, his heart is so big that u can see that he improve alot from defending ball handling and breaking the def. last 2 years ago bahadoran always loose the ball everytime he attacks the baseline, but now wow the ball handling of bahadoran is super b fast and good passing.i think he can still excel on this cat i guess maski scouts nang ibang bansa ilalagay na sya treat.and as wicking said labas dila pagtapos maglaro dang that only shows how he really loves pinas.

Its unfortunate Azkal friendlies are few and far between now adays though. cjeagle: hope springs eternal for Azkal fans, if we keep this up and get more friendlies for this current roster we can upset a lot of team I think. Seriously I think the young and new Azkals are very hungry for wins and are actually driving the teams success rather than the veterans.
