For those who have been around here for several years, there was an old thread here talking about the possibility of moving James to the backline. If I recall correctly, during his Chelsea days, JYH played as an RB and that was his natural position. Heck, I could see him playing Phil's role as holding midfielder and moving Phil to the front instead. He has the height and the strength. James Younghusband has been scoring goals in the UFL this season for LMS while Phil was out. He's in shape so I hope dooley would try to utilize James at RB or at the center mid.

Yeah i remembered he played as a RB under Weiss era when Johnnsonn was not around. He can also give good crosses to our mids and strikers. Can also be deadly in corner kicks because of his headers. I think he should now be converted with the shortage at CB. He can play RB and let Rota play CB position with Amani. But when he returned to the lineup he played upfront and all of the speculations of having him as a defender vanished.

I don't think coach TB will consider him in the RB position as I think he wants his Right Backs to be fast which JYH is not... At CB I think it will work his tall and a natural defender and is accurate passer(for long balls)...
During the time when Rob Gier was with the Azkals I think that was the best time for the Coaching staff to possible move JYH to the central Defense so he got the best training for the probably our best Defender that time..
