FT Philippines 0-3 China
Good effort by the Philippines but China was just too good. The Filipinas had a hard time keeping possession.
MVP for the Philippines today is GK Bastes-Jones

Thailand 6-1 Jordan Rematch should be another barn burner like 2013 Lets go Malditas!
Like Cjeagle said MVP to goalie today. Outstanding composure for a teenager still in high school. She is fearless.
Pressure on the ball causes other team less time and space and today we gave china both.
If you view the players stats on AFC Asian Cup official page you will see the number of passes the malditas are making compared to the other teams. Their numbers are very low compared to teams like #1-Japan, #2 Australia #.3 Korea #4 China. This indicator is in direct correlation to amount of possession during a game. Thus by the number of passes shown by the malditas one doesn't have to even watch the game to know that they are only stringing 1 or 2 passes together before they give the ball away. Having only watched the second half you could clearly see them booting the ball up the field to nobody and not connecting on many passes due to the fact that china pressured them at all points on the field.
Just saying and by no means being critical here.....remember this team has never trained together like other national teams do and probably never will. But for having only played a handful of games together you have your reason why. You just cant jell as a team in 5-10 games.
Just remember this, China is ranked #17 in world and Philippines ranked #72 with only a handful of games together as a team. All in all they did very well considering.
It is time for revenge against Thailand !!!! LABAN FILIPINAS LABAN !!!

Yes I think the Philippines needs a win against Thailand, to clinch 2nd place and outright qualification to the FIFA Womens World Cup. Thailand is ahead in goal differential for that 2nd place slot. The 3rd place team will get a chance to play the 3rd ranked team in Group B(group of death), for the 5th slot in World Cup but will have a difficult time winning against what is most likely a highly ranked team.

The Philippines Women’s National Team put on a courageous effort in their second AFC Women’s Asian Cup Group A match, but China PR proved to be a formidable foe as the 8-time Women’s Asian Cup winners came away with a 3-0 win last Tuesday 9 April 2018 at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan. China PR’s Li Ying scored on either half and Ma Jun added another in the 37th minute to send the Chinese through with six points after two matches. Despite the loss, the Philippines still put on several defensive stops to preserve the score. Ryley Bugay and Hali Long were able to make key stops during the match On the offensive end, Jesse Shugg and Leah Larot threatened the Chinese defenders, but were only able to send it off target. The Philippines will face Thailand on Thursday 12 April 2018 at 8:00 PM local time (Friday 13 April 2019 at 1:00 AM Manila time). That match can ultimately decide the Philippines’ fate of advancing to the knockout stages and to the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019. pff.org.ph/2018/04/10/report-philippines-0-3-china-pr/

China is expected to top the group and they are delivering. It was known from the start that beating them would be a tall order.
On to the next game. Focus.

It's technically not over yet lol or is it? facing either Japan, Australia or Korea for that final spot. Either way I'm still proud of this team for what it has accomplished..

It was a good run. I suspect in a few years this team will be able to beat Thailand. Just like the men's team there's plenty of upside potential.
