Vidakovic: It will be a big fight tomorrow Risto Vidakovic has always believed in the philosophy that every football match is different. The upcoming tie vs Home United will be treated the same by the Ceres mentor when his team plays the same club in the 2017 AFC Cup ASEAN Zone final. The Filipino club outlasted Home United in the two-legged final to claim the Zonal title in Panaad but the Vidakovic doesn’t want to rest in past achievements going into Tuesday’s match. “For me, last year doesn’t count anymore,” said Vidakovic. “What we did, we have to forget it. We have a new competition and we have to prove who we are and what we did it last year,” he added. The achievements by the club in last year’s edition of the tournament not only put them as favorites to top the group but also placed them in the crosshairs of other ASEAN contenders in the competition. “Everybody knows who we are now and they will be prepared for us. We have to work harder, we have to fight every game, and we have to be disciplined if we want to repeat what we did last year,” the veteran manager added. With both teams eager to continue their winning ways in the competition, the former LaLiga veteran sees a difficult match ahead at the Jalan Besar Stadium. “It’s the second game in the group stage and it is always important. I expect, as always, a tough game because everyone wants to win. They (Home United) play at home. They need the points like us and I think it will be a big fight tomorrow.” The Home-Ceres match kicks off Tuesday night and will be live on Fox Sports(1) at 730pm. ceresfootball.com/vidakovic-it-will-be-a-big-fight-tomorrow-2/

IN-form Ceres Negros looks to continue to roll in the 2018 AFC Cup when it visits Home United in matchday 2 of the group stages on Tuesday at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore. The Busmen opened their AFC Cup campaign with a 9-0 thrashing of Cambodian side Boeung Ket Angkor in Panaad last week. Now they take on a tricky Defenders side which is also off to a strong start, taking down Shan United, 1-0, in their opener. “It’s the second game in the group stage and it is always important. I expect as always, a tough game because everyone wants to win,” said Ceres coach Risto Vidakovic. “They play at home, of course they need the points like us and I think it will be a big fight,” he added. The last time the Busmen played there was in the Asean Zonal Finals in the same competition where they lost, 2-1, in the first-leg following a late Harris Harun goal. Ceres then blasted the Singaporean side 2-0 at home for a 3-2 aggregate. “Ceres has the advantage because they have played more games than us. They played the qualifier in the Champions League,” said Home coach Aidil Sharin. “We do respect Ceres because they are a good team. They have good players but for us, I think we have prepared well,” he added. More on: Read more at www.spin.ph/football/news/ceres-negros-afc-cup-2018-home-united#j5Qiqapd0ZuPM3Q6.99

Global Cebu eyes bounce back win as it faces Bali United at Rizal Memorial GLOBAL Cebu looks to barge into the winning column in the 2018 AFC Cup when it hosts Bali United in matchday two of the group stages on Tuesday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum. The Cebuano club looks to replicate the same success it had in the previous AFC Cup campaign when it topped the group which included Malaysian powerhouse Johor Darul Ta’zim. Global looks to bounce back after falling 1-0 in Vietnam against home side FLC Than Hoa two weeks ago. “Our problem in the last game was loose marking in the back,” said Global coach Marjo Allado as they fell victim to a Pape Faye goal in the 74th minute. “We will learn from that and we hope that doesn’t happen again,” he added. Following a change of ownership after the last season of the PFL, Global has done fairly well preparing for this season. It still has Rufo Sanchez and Darryl Roberts up front to lead the attack but the chances came far and few in between against the homesquad in the opener. It’s something that Allado hopes to change against Bali. “We didn’t have many attempts but we are addressing that. We have to improve our attempts on target.” Bali is also fresh off a loss on home soil, bowing 3-1 to Yangon United. The Indonesian side conceded three early goals against the Myanmar-based club in the first 25 minutes, two coming from former Global player Sekou Sylla. But skipper Patrick Deyto expects a tough match against the Bali club. “They lost versus Yangon but that is not a definitive conclusion of their strength,” said Deyto who stressed the importance of this game when it comes to their chance of advancing. “All of these games are tough but this a must-win for us if we want to progress. We will give it our best,” he added. Allado echoed his captain’s sentiments. “Having watched Bali versus Yangon, they are very good with 70 percent of the possession,” Allado continued. “But they have weaknesses that we will try to exploit.” Also playing in Group G are the winners of matchday one as Yangon United hosts FLC Thanh Hoa. Deyto had a good game last night, saving two one-on-one shots from Irfan Bachdim and a critical penalty.

watch both games not whole global- dayto has a good performance specially saving that penalty kick. 2 missing key players from global was noticeable missag and minegeshi .bali was taking advantage of our messy mid hope dizon and the younger lads improve. ceres- ceres usually keeps attacking, but last night didn't manage to score more goals specially when home was down to 10 men. maranon was kinda out that night specially after missing the penalty. Usato needs to score more goals previous guy rodiriguez was hitting the mark. usual ceres mid controls the game ott brothers are deadly. need to improve more in the finishing

AFC Cup Preview: Ceres-Negros v Shan United Ceres-Negros FC puts their unbeaten run at stake when they meet Shan United in Match Day 3 of the AFC Cup. The busmen will host their former AFC Champions League opponents on Tuesday night in Panaad. It will be the second time that both clubs will meet in history. The Filipino squad prevailed over their Myanmar rivals in the first round of the Preliminaries, winning via penalty shootout. The result however is already immaterial as both teams already crashed out of Asia’s elite tournament. The stakes in the next match however are more important as the race to lead Group F is now wide open after the results in Match Day 2. Ceres-Negros leaned on a late equalizer when they faced a stubborn Home United squad last week in Singapore. The home squad defended 1-0 advantage early in the first half to frustrate the misfiring visitors. Super Herrera managed to score an equalizer late in the second half to save the busmen from blushes after a convincing opening victory against Boeung Ket. Shan United turned a corner in their second match away in Phnom Penh when they came from behind to overcome a goal deficit from the Cambodian squad. Boeung Ket went ahead when Maicon scored a glorious free kick but Dway Ko Ko’s equalizer and Christopher Chizoba’s go-ahead goal was enough to give them their first three points in the tournament. Shan United Coach Soe Myat Min rotated his squad in their last match and was rewarded especially with Dway who came on as a sub in their opening match against Home United. The youthful coach will have the full squad in his disposal when they meet Ceres in Bacolod. Ceres-Negros will be keen to get back in home soil after a disappointing performance in Singapore. The Busmen had difficulty finding their range after only making five shots on target the whole match. The Negros squad will also have to figure out how to deal with defenses, similar to Home United’s, which aims to frustrate and limit the their goal scoring capabilities. Both teams will play consecutive matches in the group stage in March, first in Bacolod and next in Yangon on the 13th. With only a point separating the top three, the next two matches will be treated as knock out games given that only one team is assured of qualification to the next round. The all-important match is set to kickoff at 730pm sharp at the Panaad Stadium on Tuesday. Details on the TV coverage will be announced soon via the Ceres-Negros FC social media accounts ceresfootball.com/afc-cup-preview-ceres-negros-v-shan-united/

watch the whole game via stream ceres vs shan
good game first half was a testing battle for ceres i'snt pushing that much second half was a different story. the busman was keep pushing from all direction from left mid and right midfield (Mike ott, maranon and riechet). ceres back line was parked as usual thanks to de murga supra and toni. the only thing that is missing is a pure striker Usato was subbed during the start of the second half. i dont know when is the window gonna open, but for my point of view ceres needs Rodriguez or Ruffo kind of player whos really eager to run and jump score.
