United FC made history by becoming the first Filipino club to win a game in the AFC Champion's League beating Beijing Guoan 3-2.

They pretty much dominated the stats as well.
Since the blowouts in their respective first few games(understandable since they haven't played a league game in nearly 2 years due to COVID) both Philippine reps Kaya FC and United FC have only lost close matches to their opponents in their group in the AFC Champion's League.
Both teams have been gradually been improving every match in the tournament group stage.
In their respective previous games before today, Kaya FC lost only 1-2 to defending AFC Champion's League and K1 champion Ulsan FC and United FC to J1 champion Kawasaki Frontale 0-2.
They might not advance to the next stage of the AFC Champion's League but they have shown in their first time playing in the tournament proper that Philippine clubs can be competitive at this level and deserved their place in the tournament.
