He managed Spain's NT during 1941-42? that's in WW2 years. The last WC was in France in 1938 and resumed in 1950 at Brazil because of the war.

The Nazi Germans were busy invading France and Britain at that time and Spain was siding with the Germans after the Spanish civil war in mid 1930's. Good to see that Señores Alcantara and Teus represented our flag! That's great!

Spain was officially nonbelligerent in WW II even though their sympathies did lie with the Nazi's whose government helped the winning side of Generalissimo Franco. They did provide Germany material, economic and military assistance but did not allow their armies on Spanish soil.
There was a little bit of football activity then although a lot of players in other countries were drafted into their respective countries armies.

Franco was ruthless leader at that time good thing they didn't earn an ire on Franco. Maybe Señor Teus managed and held the Spain NT intact to prevent mess during the world's darkest time.
