Ok na yan 300Million as Initial funding para lang ma realize ang Bill na e fafile nila Rep. Rodriguez. WIth that initial Funding comes the help from the Private Sector.. Ang importante ma pass ang Bill para wala na talagang rason para hindi magawa ang Stadium... 75,000-seater pa naman ang plano nila... Hehe sana lang matuloy....

there was actually a plan before by PAGCOR to build a national stadium in e-pagcor city nears the sm mall of asia, unfortunately it was shelved. that proposed stadium was planned to be the biggest in southeast asia and could have been completed by 2015, its proposed name is the "CORAZON AQUINO NATIONAL STADIUM". google it. i have seen zoning plans of e-pagcor city and indeed the stadium is included. i'm hoping pagcor and pnoy revisit this plan formulated during the previous administration.
pagcor got the money to make this done.

If we are to build a new venue with a seating capacity of over 20,000, then there's no where it can be built but either in NCR/ Metro Manila or Cebu only.
How come?
If you have such a large venue, the location must also have the support infrastructure to host matches. One support infrastructure is hotel accommodations or beds for those who are coming in a day before the match and staying overnight after the match.
For a 20,000 seat venue, if we set at 5,000 the number of those coming from outside the locality, can the host location provide 5,000 beds for accommodation?
Even at 2,500, just how many cities in the Philippines have 2,500 beds for visitors?
Simply, the choice of location must take into account the existing infrastructure that will support the hosting of matches.
We don't need to be technical about this, just imagine yourselves flying in to a location where there is no place to sleep.
Okay, tents.
How about comfort rooms? Place to take a bath?
Let's look at the bigger picture, always.

if the congressman is true to their word, hope that they will support their respective area for respective stadium for me
20K - 30K seating is feasible for the cities of Ormoc, Gen San, Zamboanga, dumaguete, baguio, san fernando (pampanga), RMC....
30K - 40K seating capacity for the cities of iloilo, bacolod, cebu, davao, cagayan de oro....
for the a bigger seating 50K plus I think the feasible area is Sta Rosa Laguna, or other place within the vicinity of the highway.why it is near for the NCR and has a bigger possible place for the stadium and parking space......or the area near MOA... Note: this cities are those I saw in my entire life sorry if i didnt mention the others....
It is odd and expensive pero pagpinagawa nga ng congressman yan malaking pogi points sa kanila to hehehehe

It doesn't really need rennovations as far as the old structures are concerned but it needs to be expanded and it can be done because there's still space for expansion. And in Dumaguete the cost of living is very cheap. Tricycle rides that roam the entire City will only cost you less than P20 plus the the Accomodations are also cheap. It also is accessible since its located at the center for our country and it has 2 flights to and from Manila everyday. And it will be also easier and cheaper for the people of Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor and Dipolog(Mindanao) to come to Dumaguete. If you want to look at the Perdices Coliseum in Dumaguete pls click the link www.facebook.com/album.php?id=182972653991&aid=124583

Yah and it has underground parking lot. Maybe at the moment the stadium capacity is around 10 to 15K but you are right, it has the potential to be a 30K seater stadium if there will be an expansion of the Stadium.

they want a world-class stadium for 300.000.000 (4.800.000 Euro)? compared to a european standard, for example the stadium in Munich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allianz_Arena) costs 340.000.000 (but Euro), thats 21 300 000 000 PHP they want to build the stadium out of hollow blocks?
