Cojuangco is right about the parking spaces. A large-capacity stadium should have large ample parking spaces just in case of huge events. The current parking size of Rizal isn't large enough IMHO.
The downside with his proposal is that Clark is just far away from Metro Manila.

One advantage of Clark is logistics since it's near an international airport and there are hotels nearby.
As of now they're still in debate.
By the way, high speed train will be also built to Clark from Manila as well as NLEX having an exit there thru SCTEX. The NLEX/SCTEX to Clark is now open. Well mejo may gastos lang ng konti for gas, toll for motorist going there and fares to train and buses for passengers.
By the way, if that stadium will be built in Clark, it might be near the proposed Clark Star Center there. (See Clark Star Center thread for more details about this)

The only advantage Clark has is space. That "high speed train" is still in the drawing board.
Lets look around and see what kind of crowd goes to Azkal games, a lot of them are students or younger people who might not be able to have time and/or money to commute to Clark just like that.
Money. P300 million only for a projected 30 to 75k capacity stadium? What is this thing going to be made of?
Lets get realistic, build it where fans already have ample public transportation. Where people can go to games straight from work or school. Forget the pipe dream of a 30-75k capacity stadium, we can't even fill the 13,500 capacity RMS, for God sakes! How about rebuilding RMS, remove the track make it a more compact AND upgradable. I mean lets start with 17-20k seater and have the design so that they can add new seating(or level) at a later date(when more funds are available).
Parking. How about a multi level structure close/around the area.
Seriously folks, we do need a world class pitch & stadium, but with the funds available and current crowds at games, better to use the savings for this smaller stadium to REHABILITATE, Panaad(to minimum FIFA standards including pitch) and the UMAK pitch plus maybe build another BGC Turf type field for UFL, college, high school or local tourney use(with better seating).

Just for some parameter, the new Corona stadium for Santos Laguna was built not long ago and they spend US$100 million dollars... and it's just for 30,000: CD Guadalajara also built their new stadium not long ago, the Omnilife stadium has a 49k capacity and it cost was reported be around US$150 million dollars: And they already started building the Monterrey football stadium with a projected 51 k capacity and a cost of MX$2,000 million pesos, ~US$154 million dollars, so I guess the private sector is the only way to go.

So expensive for a third world country like ours. And it'll be more expensive considering that we have corrupt government officials.
For me, I wish they just maintain (or improve) Rizal/Panaad and add a building nearby that will serve as parking space. That's more realistic.

Philippines sports officials keen on finding a location for planned 75,000-capacity stadiumApr 10, 2012 6:01:00 AM By Christian Rizzitelli In a meeting held by the House commitee on Youth and Sports Development, the country's sportsmen explained their ideas about the creation of a new Azkals' world-class venue Philippines sports officials are keen on finding a suitable location for the country's planned 75,000-capacity stadium, which will serve as the Azkals' new home base for international matches. The House commitee on Youth and Sports Development recently held a hearing, chaired by Camarines Sur Representative Renato Unico, where representatives Rufus Rodriguez and Maximo Rodriguez Jr admitted the country needs an appropriate football stadium for the Azkals, as their current stadiums are not developed enough for the growing number of spectators. “As the sport gains popularity, so does the number of Filipinos who want to see our team perform live in action,” Rodriguez was quoted as saying by philstar. “It is high time that we bring back the glory days of football in the Philippines like in the 70's and the 80's when the Philippine football team was among the strongest in Asia. In contrast, our neighbours in Asia have bigger and better stadiums.” Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Jose “Peping” Cojuango claimed that Clark, three miles west of Angeles City, would be the ideal place for the new venue, which will cost the country P300 million. “The Rizal Memorial Complex [current Azkals stadium] cannot provide parking spaces for the seating capacity of 25,000 to 75,000 persons,” Cojuango said. However Philippine Sports Commission chairman Ricardo Garcia revealed the country's sports commission, the Philippine Football Federation and Fifa have allocated funds in order to renovate the Manila-based venue, which has a capacity of 12,873 for football matches. “Fifa agreed to infuse $500,000 yearly for the renovation of the football field and the stadium according to international standards,” Garcia declared. It's understood that many private companies such as San Miguel, Smart Communications and Petron are all interested in investing money for supporting the creation of the new stadium. www.goal.com/en/news/1276/south-east-asia/2012/04/10/3025711/philippines-sports-officials-keen-on-finding-a-location-for
Good to see private companies are interested to invest money for the 75000 stadium Clark or Manila? For me I'll go for Clark aside from being my home region, it has wide space for parking and for the stadium itself A great combo if the stadium is near Clark Star Center

Aside from this "Php 300 million" government allocation and the FIFA grant, I see that private companies like San Miguel and Smart Communications are interested for this development.
But seriously, somewhere outside Metro Manila will be better. A place where there are more residents who are into football. Maybe Bacolod is good though they already have one stadium already. Tough wish but I hope it will be somewhere in Mindanao, though it's far from the capital, because I know there are a lot of people there who are into football even before. Just my thoughts.
In many parts of the world, football stadiums are centrally located to major public transport routes (which also addresses the parking question). In the UK, some stadiums are actually walking distance away from the train station and during match days there are trains that are specific for spectators only.
With so many private jeepneys, tricylces and bus operators in the Philippines (which contribute to the traffic), our public transport system is not really centrally controlled and it may be very hard to establish a stadium that is centrally located, hence, if we are going to build a new stadium, it may well be out in the boondocks.
Both ends of EDSA are already congested with either traffic or other establishments, and there are probably not enough land to build a new one. I also would like to see the PSC consider the provinces for a stadium. But from memory, one of the main complaints of holding the Challenge Cup qualifiers in the provinces was that the visiting teams didn't want a two-stage flight (e.g. Ulanbataar to Manila, Manila to Bacolod; not to mention connecting flights in between). Most teams would want to cut travelling time so that the players can settle in quickly.

A stadium of this size will need more than just the occasional football match to make it viable financially. It will need concerts, other sporting events, etc etc. Lets face it, there just aren't enough Azkal matches on the calendar each year, even including all the age groups, to make this a dedicated venue. Furthermore, if anyone thinks a 30k+ stadium will be built with only usd500k, they are dreaming, as other posts have already pointed out. this would have to be a consortium effort, including sports interests but also others that would help to make such a venue a viable entity. For this reason, I feel that a location other than the capital region may entail much more risk of financial viability.
The Aseana complex is a large development with broad private and government institutional participation, including Pagcor if I am not mistaken. This is being implemented in the reclaimed land near Mall of Asia. This could be a very likely location. If you would like to see what this location is like, I invite you to view this animation of the location including its commercial and entertainment sectors. The architectural animation is hosted on Vimeo which is a safe and virus-free cloud service for hosting videos and other source materials.

Are they reconciled in the place where will it constructed? I hope. By the way when it comes to funds. Private Sector is ready to help them construct it like Smart, San Miguel, Petron etc.
A bit off topic: Sa atin debate pa pero sa Timor Leste win na e2 oh Estádio Timor Soúl is a stadium currently under construction in Baucau, Timor Leste. It is due to open in 2016 and will have a capacity of 75,000 spectators. It will be the new home of Timor Leste national football team Location :Baucau, Timor Leste Broke ground :November 2012 Opened :March 2016 Surface :Grass Construction cost :US$125 Million Capacity :75,000 The image of their stadium.
For the PHI kailan kaya maitatayo? This year? pagtatayuan pa lang debate na eh. Just put it in Clark and it's done. It can't be in congested place. If you want in Manila, better put it near SM Mall of Asia or in Asia World City

IF, BIG IF!? They can remove all the undocumented settlers around North Triangle in QC, there they could have the space they're looking for. I not sure though but i think it is the same place where PBA stadium was planned before but to no avail.

It can't be in North Triangle, QC baka magalit ang mga nakatira doon sa Azkals and besides QC Central Business District ang balak gawin doon like in Makati's Ayala.
For me, Clark is the best place for the new stadium More space, less traffic, logistics advantage, tourism increase in Central Luzon, more income from jeeps, trikes etc but adds extra cost for fans to here from Manila but an advantage for fans living in Central and Northern Luzon (extra cost for them but less than the cost if they go to Manila.)

Waste of money, that might turn as a white elephant if no one will replace the current crop of Azkals.
Create green parks first, which can be created/adopted to football pitches for grass-root football. Most football grounds in Europe evolved from being parks at the beginning. As football become more popular to get bum on seats, it's time to talk about stadiums. Link the creation of parks with the pork barrel politicians get.
Better yet, also encourage the wealthy to donate land to be created to park ('Henry Sy Park'; 'Gokongwei Grounds' or 'Cojuangco Greens' or 'Ayala Park' LOL) and manage by city/national governments.

Just looking at google map... does anyone knows who own the Intramuros Golf Course. That's a great site for a national stadium... Build a stadium there and the rest as park, like Central Park in Manhattan... anyway... wishful thinking... haha...

there was actually a plan before by PAGCOR to build a national stadium in e-pagcor city nears the sm mall of asia, unfortunately it was shelved. that proposed stadium was planned to be the biggest in southeast asia and could have been completed by 2015, its proposed name is the "CORAZON AQUINO NATIONAL STADIUM". google it. i have seen zoning plans of e-pagcor city and indeed the stadium is included. i'm hoping pagcor and pnoy revisit this plan formulated during the previous administration. pagcor got the money to make this done. Cant find anything on google on why it was scrapped... do you know?

The Club Intramuros golf course is part of Fort Santiago which is owned by the government through the Philippine Tourism Authority as a heritage site, so it's therefore impossible to construct such stadium there.
