there was actually a plan before by PAGCOR to build a national stadium in e-pagcor city nears the sm mall of asia, unfortunately it was shelved. that proposed stadium was planned to be the biggest in southeast asia and could have been completed by 2015, its proposed name is the "CORAZON AQUINO NATIONAL STADIUM". google it. i have seen zoning plans of e-pagcor city and indeed the stadium is included. i'm hoping pagcor and pnoy revisit this plan formulated during the previous administration. pagcor got the money to make this done. Cant find anything on google on why it was scrapped... do you know? If I'm not mistaken this was part of a plan by the former chairman Efraim Genuino as part of the Bagong Nayong Pilipino commercial district. However, if you do know, he was a cohort of PGMA and was one of those involved in the Fertilizer Fund Scam. He was therefore outsed during PNoy's rule. However during the current president, the appointed officials were incompetent and were replaced almost every year. So I think this plan for a bigger stadium could have been in jeopardy.

With the Philippines current football development, a football specific stadium of 25-35K seated stadium is ideal, leaving room for development for greater capacity later on. The atmosphere will be great if the stadium is in full capacity in my experience. And maybe with the same budget of 60K+ stadium, you can build two to three 20K stadiums

Thanks Part of the diaspora, so not quite up to date with the current byzantine machinations of pinoy politicians.

We can add more seats in RMS by dismantling the track while Panaad still has space to expand. Then after that we can think of a brand new stadium.

you can't really trust politicians these days, they only used the sport's predicament before for leverage in their media mileage.
