This is already being reported in Indian Football sites, however I do believe that letting him go is actually their loss. Here's hoping that Angel gets a new and better deal this new year

News Reports: Azkal Angel Guirado released by Indian club - reportDecember 28, 2012 10:50pm The Times of India reported Friday that Filipino striker Angel Guirado, a member of the Philippine national team known as the Azkals, had been released by Indian club Salgaocar FC. The Times quoted a senior club official who said, "Nobody really was happy with Angel's performance. He failed to deliver and he was being away from the team [on national duty) for far too long." Guirado was part of the Azkals' Suzuki Cup line-up which reached the semifinals, but bowed out 1-0 on aggregate against Singapore, which went on to win their fourth title in the regional tournament. In five appearances for Salgaocar, Guirado tallied 287 minutes and two goals. The club has since replaced him with Brazilian Josimar Martins, with the club official adding, "He [Martins] has played in India before and knows the kind of football that is needed. He should do well with us." Guirado is said to be the third striker to have "fallen out of favor with the club." It is possible that Guirado could now come over to the Philippines and play for a UFL club, given his release. - AMD, GMA News www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/288100/sports/football/azkal-angel-guirado-released-by-indian-club-reportSalgaocar show door to Angel GuiradoTNN Dec 28, 2012, 01.04AM IST PANAJI: Salgaocar Football Club have shown the door to Filipino striker Angel Guirado whose assignments with the national team restricted his appearances in the I-League. Angel returned to Goa after a lengthy spell with the Philippines national team in the Suzuki Cup -- where they lost in the semifinals -- but the club, by then, had already decided that they needed an alternative. Brazilian striker Josimar Martins had already joined the team in the meantime and Salgaocar decided it was best to repose their faith in Josimar. "Nobody really was happy with Angel's performance. He had failed to deliver and he was being away from the team (on national duty) for far too long," said a senior official."Josimar is doing well with the team and provides the coach with a good alternative up front. He has played in India before and knows the kind of football that is needed. He should do well with us," said the official. Guirado is the second striker to be dropped -- in fact the third if you count Nigerian striker Hamza Amaba at the start of the season -- to have fallen out of favour with the club following the release of Australian striker Sean Rooney. Salgaocar have already sealed a deal with Singapore attacking midfielder John Wilkinson who is expected to arrive in Goa on January 1.articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-12-28/i-league/36036034_1_salgaocar-football-club-hamza-amaba-striker

don't know if team like GAU,Pasargad and Pachanga can afford his transfer fee. but if ever they can, that would surely add some flavor to our league next season
