Since he won't be playing for around a month then, I wonder who will take the captain's armband for Kaya...
Will Aly Borromeo finally return to Kaya captaincy then?

I hope you know this already: Anton and his brother Armand (identified as the "Football Brothers") participated in The Amazing Race Philippines (local franchise to the main Amazing Race in the US), to be broadcasted on TV5 starting next week.

I felt awkward to post this to you, but... ANTON IS GETTING MARRIED!@anton_delro (March 25): After 31 years I finally found a lady worth all my love. Tonight I was able to ask my love to spend the rest of my life with me... and she said YES! Tonight is the happiest night of my life... For now! Thank you all who contributed to helping @samrichelle and I get this far! #FOREVER Baby! I love you!
Best wishes to Anton and Sam!

Can anyone explain why Antonio isn't playing for the azkals anymore? With Aly injured, Hartmann in the doghouse, Sabio back in the states and Rob and Juani's joints creaking more and more we could really do with his presence in the challenge cup since our centre back options are so limited...

The simplest explanation to that is that Coach Weiss have issues with him mainly due to his attitude. But further details are sketchy until now. All we know is that his Kaya teammate OJ Porteria took over his #4 jersey.

The simplest explanation to that is that Coach Weiss have issues with him mainly due to his attitude. But further details are sketchy until now. All we know is that his Kaya teammate OJ Porteria took over his #4 jersey. I had a short twitter conversation late last year with Anton, he is still hoping for a call up but that probably will never happen as long as Weiss is the coach. Weiss has a coaching philosophy that goes like this: put the most technically gifted player in an open position over the correct player but who is "technically" limited. Hence his Jason de Jong at CB experiment, over del Rosario at CB(among others). I will admit he has had success with Christiaens at LB. In my opinion de Jong isn't ready at CB against the likes of Malaysia, Indonesia or the more elite teams we play like Thailand or Turkmenistan. Btw, I've been more of a UFL watcher this season and must say that Chad Gould the last month or so has been really solid at CB and with his height has a better upside than del Ro. Both, though are offensively minded defenders that might not run well with Weiss(remember his rant over a certain defender when they played the LA Galaxy two Decembers ago?).

i will wait for Pachanga's CB duo Deo Seguinal and Andrew Santiago to get enough experience and exposure, both are tall though not that physically gifted. i think Seguinal is still eligible for our U-23. if only Taher has Filipino blood, damn im really impressed by this guy! so solid at the back

Re. The problem Weiss has with anton's attitude... It seems that he has or has had similar issues with a number of players over time.... Maybe the problem is with him. Don't get me wrong, I love HMS for what he has done for the azkals and pinky football in general, but similar issues seem to continue coming up time after time...
