The Little Azkals have been doing well in Italy acc. to the facebook account above.
Reggina Calcio class 1999 - U14 Pilippinas 0-8 last Saturday 4/28.
Hintereggio (class 1999) - U14 Pilippinas 0-10 today 4/30.
If they continue to perform this way, hopefully some Italian clubs offers some of them a contract(not sure how old you can do that in Italy) so they can improve their game.

wow amazing stuff. I suppose the better test will be when they get a chance to play against other "national teams." For the record, Reggina Calcio is currently playing in Serie B, so one would expect their youth team to be quite reputable. STL en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggina_CalcioHintereggio is further down in Serie D, so one might expect their club / youth team to be weaker than calcio... stl en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.S.D._HinterReggio

You got it right. Their true test is to play other national teams as they prove their worth against foreign clubs. But , AC Milan, Juventus or Inter youth teams could give them a true test also if given a chance to have a match with them. Hopefully , they'd have a game in one of the most prestigious youth clubs in Italy before they go back home. AS Roma perhaps...

Philippine Under-14 team enters final stages of training in Italy Cebu Daily News 8:38 am | Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 share88 87 THE PHILIPPINE Under 14 football team is learning to incorporate Italian football into their regular regimen as they enter the final week of their training camp in Palermo Italy. The training camp, hosted by the Italian football school A.S.D SportVillage Tommaso Natale Scuola Calcio Giacomo Tedesco, will end on May 9. The Little Azkals return to the Philippines the next day. Head coach Oliver “Bingbing” Colina said he has seen improvement in the team, who was in Italy since April 20. Aside from learning new tricks in attacking and goalkeeping from the Italian football coaches, the team’s mentality and understanding of the game have also improved. And this is evidenced by how they won their last two games in Reggio Calabria. “They have good teams here. Their training might be advanced but our boys, at this level, can also cope with them,” Colina said. Colina said the field was a factor in their last two wins because it was of good quality. He said that his boys got daunted by the field in their second and third games because it had a hard surface, made of compact sand and had no grass. Richard Montayre, the Little Azkals team manager, said the team is also learning a lot from former Serie A coach Ignazio Arcoleo, who is said to have a hand in developing Italian football standout Marco Materazzi. “That’s the reason why we are scoring more goals now,” Montayre said. He added that Arcoleo have taught the team various team plays and individual skills. Upon their arrival, the team’s assessment was different in team plays and aggressiveness, set plays and team organization. The Italian coaches also recommended player positions for the team. newsinfo.inquirer.net/186587/philippine-under-14-team-enters-final-stages-of-training-in-italy

The interesting thing was they started the trip facing teams with younger kids in the 1999 age group in the lower division and ended up with kids a year older in the 1998 age group in the higher divisions. They have showed improvement as they faced progressively faced stronger teams and played a competitive game even against Serie A youth sides in the end.
