so basically we just need to follow their programs that have no strings attached? Yeah i like the idea of spain to fund us or atleast have a couple of programs with us. Im a barca fan. I want the azkals to adapt that kind of style of football. We have a very good relationship with Spain. Do you know that the Spanish government has a program with Deped where they are teaching Spanish to high school students in public schools. It is being implemented in 54 schools around the country. If we intend to send young players to train in Spain in the future, knowing how to speak Spanish will facilitate participation in programs. As for exchanges and training. Academies and training centers are usually private entities. It would not be difficult to negotiate with them to accept a team to train with them or send coaches or technical staff to intern or train. The question will be the money for the expenses and living allowances of the students or trainees. This is where government cooperation agreements and assistance comes in. This is where funding can be sourced to allow projects like these to happen. If corporate funding or a sponsor can be found, that's also a good option in making these programs and exchanges possible.

Muy bien if thats the case! There is no excuse for the PFF to develop the football programs the future azkals will need. Alas the dawn of improvement awaits.

A friend of mine heard some humours : A Filipino-Spanish businessman based in US who have a property portfolio of $80 millions wants to get involved with Azkals. He is a scion of Aboitiz clan and related by Sorianos by marriage. In short, he got some football pedigree in his veins as these families had ties with Philippine football in the past. There are kinks however if he become involves as he wants his full hands in running the team. That means lesser involvement of Dan Palami. So at the moment my friend said this businessman is just lurking and waiting for the right time when Dan Palami decides to step down and he will take over the slack. Among his plans is to hire two Spanish manager one to handle the senior side and one the under-23 and youth teams, have Azkals an annual camp in Spain, a yearly friendly match with Basque County regional team to be held in Spain, an active recruitment of Fil-foreign prospects calling up young prospects as young as 16 to play in senior side just to lure them to play for Azkals, insurance to be in place for clubs of Euro-based players, minimum and regular stipend for members of Azkals, first class or business class fares in flights among foreign-based players as he does want his players comfortable as much as possible, send C. Greatwich, Borromeo, Gier, Juani and other who got potentials to be manager to coaching courses helping them to gain UEFA coaching "A" license, sponsor at least 4 local-based youngsters to train in different football academies in Spain and invite big teams in La Liga to have regular exhibition matches in Manila. . .

This is a good deal. But,If this will go through more funds would be needed(transportation of players, training fees and etc.).Why not just invest in a good coaches, tech director, chairman, scouts and etc..In that way our youth system would improve more. I'm quite hesitant on this one, I mean this deal is too good to be true.
