With our meager resources let's make sure we build a new stadium at the right time. It has to be both practical and feasible. We only get a few Azkals games a year if any so that alone wouldn't suffice. It should be center of all football in Metro Manila so PFF tournaments, UFL, UAAP and NCAA leagues should be held there and used whole year around. sana nga no sir, may magsponsor na sa mga football teams natin... surely naman kikita sila. hehehe

Parang odd diba?

Parang odd diba? I agree. The strength of football and football support and fanaticism in most countries in the world is due to the community roots and connections that clubs have with their supporters. This is the basic requirement. Later on, prestige and pedigree will attract a wider base (i.e. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United, Bayern, Milan etc.) of support and following.

Thanks to migrants from Europe who introduced the game to the countries they settled in (or colonized).

I won't mind seeing an ABS-CBN Stadium built ;D, (wishful thinking: please put a Paulino Alcantara statue in front of it - hehe) It should be Amechazurra and Alcantara side by side. at sa loob, may gallery about Filipinos (whether full or half or even a quarter) should be shown as well so that the next generation will know the stories of these football greats including the current Azkals.

Nung last year nila ABS owned team na lahat.

Look at Mohamed Al-Fayed, the MJ fan owner of Fulham FC, man he's fearless at everything right to the point that he's giving away money to his managers especially Keegan to bring Fulham to the top flight of English football.
If we only have a visionary, an avant-garde, innovative businessmen who see things way before it happen. If I am a businessman, I will consider my club to be the ultimate billboard and one of my conduits for the love of the sport.

Maybe I don't understand you...but when i was checking out the UFL clubs...they seemed GRASSROOTS to me. The names etc. "Sunken Garden" "Pasagard" I think think one team gave themselves an Iranian name because most of the members happen to be Iranian? To me THAT'S grassroots. To me that's alot better than creating unnatural teams like: DC United, LA Galaxy or Real Salt Lake (smirk). I don't know, but i was under the impression that a-lot of those European clubs started in the grassroots and they just happen to now hold personas from the early days: Celtic=Catholic/Irish, Rangers=Protestants, T.Hotspur=Jewish, etc etc. I'm just saying, i think it's badass that the Pilippine clubs are starting like this: just a bunch of guys, giving themselves names...instead of PBA or MLS style clubs.
