Reading between the lines from Patrick Ace Bright's tweet, looks like Stephan Schröck's going to play for this coming friendly. Getting excited. Its a shame the Laos game will not be televised. Not sure how many game/s he will play though if indeed he joins the team.

I hope AFC wont let this country host games unless they can air it

RT @cedelfpt: Azkals manager Dan Palami has confirmed that Stephan Schrock has made himself available for the matches against Singapore and Laos.
I think Cagara stayed home to fight for a slot in the his club's first 11. Jonsson also stayed in Iceland as their team in danger of relegation.

Team is working on the premise that Borromeo will not be ready for the Suzuki Cup. Aly is back recuperating after hastening his recovery from ACL. He should be back in heavy training by now but he insisted on playing for Kaya and has affected his recovery severely.

what is the cause with Aly's recent injury? was that because he forced himself to play even though he is not yet 100%?

Aly Borromeo injured, Azkals captaincy in jeopardy? To quote Bob Guerrero's article: [Darren] Hartmann's arrival comes at a perfect time for Kaya, since Azkal captain Aly Borromeo is still not 100%. The defender underwent minor meniscus surgery and will be out for another four weeks.[/i] ph.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/thepassionatefan/kaya-fc-prepares-ufl-manila-cup-033121723.htmlAccording to unconfirmed reports, after having his last match against Pasargad last season, Aly was complaining of a strain on his knee. And after that Kaya's physios have observed that there was a slight strain on knee, and therefore being left out of Kaya's championship match vs. Stallions, however later recovered a week later. During his trainings with the national team in Bacolod and in Chicago, where he was expected to return, he then repeatedly complained of pain on his right leg during scrimmages and was therefore sending himself to the sidelines most of the time. In Chicago, in fact, an eyewitness from this forum told that Aly was with himself away from the team "rehabbing his knee." He later published photos on his Twitter account being in a recompression chamber, and his right leg being wrapped on a contraption that provides relief for leg injuries, as seen above (I forgot the name, I better ask Doc Caz). It was later confirmed by Bob Guerrero's article that he has a slight meniscus strain. It is being on the works that Aly will not be part of the Suzuki Cup roster in November and the friendly games before it. It will therefore be an unsure path for Aly if he is able to return to the national team in time for the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers in March 2013. His captaincy, most especially, will be in question by then, and aside for his co-captain Chieffy Caligdong, whose captaincy is in jeopardy as well after confirming he is moving to Texas by the end of the year, whoever takes his spot remains to be seen.

He didn't go to the US with the Azkals to play. He was there to have his injury checked. Obviously, he wasn't 100% healed when he started playing again.

He didn't go to the US with the Azkals to play. He was there to have his injury checked. Obviously, he wasn't 100% healed when he started playing again. Funny because news reports and interviews pointed to him trying to play in Chicago AND if he was there to have his injury checked one would think they would've told him not to play yet. But he did. So did he really go there to get checked? It'd be a big surprise if he plays in the Suzuki Cup because even if he's fit he won't be "match fit". Stranger things have happened though...

Mulders: I like to return to Asia because of the adventure, but it is also an honor to play for a National Team. I'll try to make myself definitely available for the Suzuki Cup. [ad.nl]
