Misagh Bahadoran scoops Player of the Month
The 24 year old striker of Global Smartmatic, Misagh Bahadoran, wins our Sugod.com Player of the Month for February 2011. The young footballer was impressive during the month of February scoring 6 goals in 3 consecutive matches. He was instrumental for the win against Kaya Futbol Club where he scored an extraordinary goal from a corner kick featured at SoccerCentral.ph:
It was around 10 minutes into the second half when Global FC won a corner on the right side of the goal after another attack from Global. Misagh Bahadoran calmly walked towards the corner to prepare his kick and also signal striker Izo El Habbib to be ready for the corner kick. Bahadoran took the corner and a bit of magic happened when the ball made an incredible curve into the top corner of the net to send the Global fans into euphoria.
I’ll repeat that. When Misagh Bahadoran took the corner, the ball took a wicked curve to send it to the top corner. WITHOUT making contact with any other player except the back of the net. Truly that goal was something incredible that even before Misagh took the corner, I said to the ball boy, who threw the ball to Misagn, that, “Siguro, goal yan,” and shockingly it went in much to our surprise. Kudos to the ball boy, he just made an assist to the one of the most exciting players to watch in this league.
Misagh, a Filipino-Iranian, is the main man in the Philippine Men’s Futsal Team. Last year, he was the top scorer during the 2010 AFF Futsal Championship bagging 6 goals. With his great footballing prowess, a call-up to the Philippine Men’s National Football Team Azkals would be a great news to all Azkaleros and Azkaleras.

He is the best player on our futsal team. It seems he is just as effective in football. He sounds like he could be our designated set up man. He would be our first half Persian, half Filipino player.
