ang mga DAKILANG OGAG!!! 1. Monico O. Puentevella POC Chairman POC chairman Monico Puentebella made the unfounded statement that “the time trial results reflected that our dragon boat teams are not in the best of shape for the Asian Games considering the quality of the competition”. www.abs-cbnnews.com/video/nation/regions/09/04/09/puentevella-told-explain-p50m-sea-games-expensesPuentevella told to explain P50M Sea Games expenses Posibleng maharap sa kasong plunder si Bacolod Rep. Monico Puentevella. Ito'y dahil sa di maipaliwanag na paggastos ng P50 milyong pondo ng 2005 SEA Games sa bansa. 2. Jose S. Cojuangco Jr. aka PEPING POC President 3. POC Board Member Jeff "Matandang Ampaw na DAPAT MAGRESIGN" Tamayo 4.POC Board Member Mark Joseph “The International Dragon Boat Federation, which held this so-called world championship, is not recognized by the International Olympic Committee.” 5. PSC Chairman Richie Garcia "If they would not join the Canoe-Kayak, that's their decision," said Garcia. "They can go back to eating tahong." www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/blood-sweat-tears-win-pinoy-dragon-warriors-glory-but-not-poc-recognitionIndeed, any comparison between the track records of the PDBF and the PCKF would be lopsided, if not downright laughable. In the 2005 Southeast Asian Games in Manila, the dragon boat team won all six gold medals in the traditional boat race competition, earning the federation the “NSA of the Year” award from the Philippine Sportswriters Association. In the same games, the canoe federation had a measly haul of one silver and two bronzes. www.philstar.com/sportsarticle.aspx?articleid=635764&publicationsubcategoryid=69Phl, dragon boat team robbed of gold, self-esteem

Dragon boat gets P1.5 M August 21, 2011, 9:41pm MANILA, Philippines — Tycoon Lucio Tan gave a P1.5-million cash reward to the members of the victorious Cobra Philippine Dragon Boat Federation team as the taipan urged the national paddlers to remain in excellent shape and win more medals in next year’s competitions. “If everybody is healthy and fit, you will attain more achievements,” Tan told the paddlers during the team’s courtesy call to the businessman Friday at Century Park Hotel. “Just continue practicing so you will win more medals and bring honor to our country.” The monetary reward was on top of the assistance extended by Tan-led Asia Brewery Inc. (ABI) and Philippine Airlines (PAL) – main sponsors of the squad when it competed in the recent 10th IDBF World Dragon Boat Championships in Tampa Bay, Florida. PAL flew the 26-man contingent to Los Angeles and back, while Asia Brewery sponsored all other incidental expenses. In turn, Tan received an authographed team jacket from Marcia Cristobal, president of the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation as a token of appreciation from the squad, who won 5 gold and 2 silver medals in the biennial meet in Florida. mb.com.ph/articles/331544/dragon-boat-gets-p15-m
