Just give time to my fellow Cebuano (Riechelt), he has the utmost potential in that position, he just need's experience..

If you can put together the best starting IX for the Azkals, who would you put in it? Disregarding current "elegibility." Let's say every player based and born outside the Philippines with some Filipino ancestry chose to play for the Philippines (ie. the DeGuzman brothers decided to play for the Philippines instead). Also, let's limit to players that are alive and still playing. Let's not start putting Paulino Alcantara in there. Just for fun. What do you guys have? (If there's a thread like this already, then my mistake and disregard but I didn't find one) This is my starting eleven. I would have a 4-2-4 formation. ----------------------------GK-Sacapano----------------------------- J.Guirado----------D.Cagara----------R.Jonsson--------C.de Murga ---------------------J. Lucena----------S.Schrock---------------------- J.Christaens------------------------------------------------D.Omphroy ---------------------Angel Guirado----Javier Patino-------------------- Subs: (same formation) Uy for Lucena Gier for Cagara Muller for Sacapano You must be in shock when you see my lineup. You could see players not in their original position. Like Christaens,in a winger position. In my opinion he is better that way because as you see how he plays he is very pacy and good composure (same with Omphroy) and he is very much familiar with this position.Coz he started in this position before he was converted to left back. Well, I do think they are better in this position. But I could be wrong.

Since back four is rigid.. might as well fuel up some fire power upfront

My Dream Team will be the starting side of Azkals against Cambodia minus Muller and Angel. . . Instead of Muller I prefer Ehteridge. . . I noticed Angel plays a bit awkward at right wing during last qualifiers, he fumbled a lot of times and fell in the pitch not twice but many times. In his place I will put Reichelt who are adept at the right flank and whose work rate is like a horse. . . I will assign Angel as a supersub, one who could spell either strikers (PYH and Patino) and AMF (Mulders). . . What I found Angel is more effective when he comes off the bench and plays as a second striker behind the centre forward (PYH). . .

Guys. How is everyone forgetting about DAVID ALABA?! He is among one of the best players in the world. And plays for BAYERN MUNICH!!! The Azkals need him. It should be the number one priority for our national team. I don't care how. Just get him here!
Think about it. An attacking left back (like marcelo), that possesses awesome vision, accurate long range passes, attacking mindset, and tremendous defensive workrate.
He is so good that the Austrian national team plays him as a midfield because he can drive those attacks forward.
I can easily say that he is the best filipino player in the world right now. Alaba would easily make the biggest difference. Go Azkals!!!

He's already capped by Austria at a very young age.
