To our dear mods,
Regarding the "Karma" counter on every member profile, I just noticed that almost 90% of the members here have NEGATIVE karma on them but when I checked on there posts I dont see anything wrong which warrants an infraction. With this, it appears that when some members personally reacts to someone's post they tend to "abuse the ability to smite".
With all due respect, I can't see any significance on this. If the purpose of this karma or reputation counter is to instill responsible and sensible posting in accordance to forum rules, strict moderation is the only way. Giving warnings whether by PM or through post would be enough coz I believe everyone here is old enough to understand simple instructions. If a member is incorrigible, then by all means ban them.
With all due respect, for the benefit of all and this forum, may I suggest that members would be able to exalted/smited another member only once, or just remove the Karma counter totally.
personally, I would choose the former. Nevertheless, it up to you, our mods, to decide.
thanks and hoping for an optimistic outcome

There's some people that likes to smite people if some post hits them through the heart.

Sorry guys, I wish I could help but there are currently (and sadly) no savvy technician on board to change this.
I will try to figure out how to remove the Karma feature or to modify it.

It was removed before I signed up here a year ago. I had no idea about that but during those days I was still an observer of this forum, I also saw that Karma, I really don't know what's that all about.
Well if you're putting it back here, then why not hehe.

it serves no purpose at all and is so easily abused. Save that crap for lesser forums. Btw, why does dingodile have a warning level!? Bad player report ?! What'd you do @dingodile???

I will still say NO. Let's not make Usapang Football Facebook-ish or Twitter-ish. Afterall, this site aims to become the premier Philippine Football information center. Better make this site more professional.

ESPN, Yahoo sports, CNN, and several other news sites have a "like" option or something along those lines on user comments. It doesn't make them any less professional. Just sayin'. It's cool. It was just a thought.

Posters like shejeane/bluefeather, who "Smites" good forumers like Wiking everyday, got disinterested by totally removing this Karma thing.
Anyway, Louie's site; Louie's call.
