Looks like Coach Weiss was impressed by his performance at the Nagold tournament as well.

There weren't any available information on Oliver Pötschke that I could find except the same old cut and pasted information when you searched his name on the web. I wanted to find out not only if he really played for BFC Preussen Berlin but if he was still a member before flying to the Philippines to play the LT Cup and SEAG. I also wanted to know if he was a playing member or someone who just sat on the bench for the team. Since BFC Preussen is a 6 tier team it is amateur in nature and not professional like Schrock or even Manny Ott's team. As I mentioned in another thread, Oliver Pötschke's team, BFC Preussen Berlin is a part of the Berlinliga which was previously called Verbansliga Berlin. Thus, we can deduce that it is a 6 tier team and amateur in nature because 5th tier teams are in the Oberliga, which by the way, one can easily search for in the web and no BFC Preussen Berlin belong to the Oberliga team roster. His career with BFC for the year 2011 but it does stretch back longer. For last season:Jan to May 2011 21 total games, record was 6wins-12loss-3tie 8 starts 6 subbed in 3 in roster but DNP 2 goals(coincidentally, the twice he scored was also a win for his team) *I did not include Berlin Cup games and friendlies. This current seasonAug to Sept 2011(only up to the last game he was in the roster) record was 0wins-5loss-2tie 7 games(before he left for the PI) 5 starts 2 in roster but DNP 0 goals scored *His last game was on Sept 18 2011, he was in the roster but DNP. *I did not include Berlin Cup games and friendlies. Other noteables:*He wears jersey number 7 as far back as I have seen. *I've also read that he has, since January this year, been in contact and have met Dan Palami in Germany. His interest in the Azkals has not been recent. Coach Weiss has also stated that he was "impressed" with OP's play in the Nagold Cup in Germany this year. I have kept watch over this guy for a while now and have not heard anything after the LTC! His natural position with Preussen Berlin is actually as a midfielder. During the LTC I rated him competent but below Ali Borromeo performance at that time(see the old LTC thread). As for a chance to play in the UFL, I really don't believe anyone has contacted him to do so. Too expensive or maybe he has a "real" job in Germany that pays him too much(he plays in an Amateur league) to let go off, just like James Leigh Gunn.

based on the article of wiking, the contract of oliver will expire this end of the month, if left unsigned he can still play here in the UFL.. or instead of playing 7th tier football in Germany why not play here where he can be a starter or a regular player in the rotation.. just a thought hope Pachanga or Green Archers United Globe have an eye for this guy..
