Well I made this thread after I saw a video today about my favorite team Anderlecht beating Real Madrid, Manchester United, Dynamo Kiev and PSV Eindhoven in the season of 2000-2001. I was only 8 years old then, but it was fantastic to see my favorite team outclass the likes of Man U and Real Madrid.
Anderlecht - Real Madrid 2-0 Anderlecht - Lazio Rome 1-0 Anderlecht - Manchester United 2-1 Anderlecht - PSV 1-0
What are your favorite footballmoments?

I have lots of favorite football moments, but if I were to narrow down to one it would be my very first live match in Europe. 1997, Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. Just a regular league match between Fiorentina and Padova (or Padua). 2-0 to Fiorentina, goals by the stylish Rui Costa (at his prime then) and one of my all-time favorite players - Batigol (Gabriel Batistuta).
What really made this memorable for me was that I decided to just go to the stadium on match day itself. Bought a ticket at the cheapest rate available and found myself in one of the curva (the section behind the goalposts) where the ultras were, with the away fans and ultras just on the adjoining section separated from the home supporters and ultras by plexiglass. There were Italian police with riot gear in the vicinity. Fantastic! I already loved football as a sport, played it when younger and followed it but this experience was the moment where I truly appreciated the passion behind football and how it is part of the fabric of people's lives and communities.
Side note: A week before that in Rome I had to run back to the hotel to switch the plain red and white striped jersey I was wearing because as I was watching from a distance a large group of guys wearing red jerseys chanting at the steps of the Piazza de Espana, guys young and old walking by me were giving me dirty looks and a few even came up to me pointed to my jersey and said I was a pig from Bari in Italian. Got uncomfortable, went back to the hotel and told the concierge about my experience. He told me that I was wearing Bari's colors who were in town for a match against Lazio that evening. However, as the Bari supporters arrived at the train terminal in Rome that morning they were attacked by Lazio ultras complete with flying bricks and stones. The guys in red that I saw at the Piazza de Espana were the Bari supporters and ultras regrouping before proceeding to the Stadio Olimpico for the match that evening.
Football, it is more than just a game. Just got to love it!

Iniesta's goal vs. Chelsea (2009) despite the terrible reffing at both sides:
Barcelona's Manita vs. Madrid (2009):
aka Same year where Barcelona played against the physical English game successfully, especially against Man U. IMO, it's all a matter of how to work the ball that makes a world-class team.

KTBFFH!
Sorry chocobo, that semifinal game between CFC and FCB do have a terrible officiating but definitely not for both sides.

Another one was the '99 UCL Final between Man Utd & Bayern Munich..
