A bit old but I don't see updates about this. What is the current update for this? Is this under construction as of now? What's the capacity of the bleachers there? Hey stellarboy Do you have updates from these? Since Davao is a neighbor of Bukidnon province? Here's the pic and the location of the project. www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150197627314165.326030.264268269164&type=3
This article is old about Mindanao pitch and possibly this project in Bukidnon. FIFA to finance Mindanao pitchBy FRANCIS SANTIAGO March 3, 2011, 12:55am MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Football Federation is looking at building a football pitch in Mindanao under the International Football Federation (FIFA) grant hoping the move will create a bigger base for Philippine football and encourage grassroots development for the sport. PFF president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta told the Bulletin yesterday that the association is now looking for a viable site. The construction of the regular pitch will be financed through the Goal Project 5 of FIFA, which will grant the Philippines a $500,000 (P21.7 million) donation for the purpose. To get approval of the FIFA grant, the PFF must find a donor of a land who will allow the association to use it for at least 30 years for free. “We have already sent letters to the football associations in Mindanao asking them if they are interested to have the pitch and if they could find a donor for the land,” Araneta said yesterday, adding that the PFF has given them until March 20 to reply. Bukidnon and Davao are the leading candidates for the football pitch. Araneta said he’s hoping to find a donor within the next few months or before FIFA holds a meeting on Goal Project proposals in October, so a Memorandum of Agreement can be signed. The announcement of a possible Mindanao pitch came a day after FIFA approved the PFF’s proposal to build an artificial pitch in Parañaque City in a 4.5-hectare of land donated by El Shaddai leader Mike Velarde. mb.com.ph/node/307185/fifa-finance-mindanao-pitch

I haven't had news of this, but I heard the land grant for this project hasn't been approved yet. It should be located around a Del Monte plantation in Valencia, Bukidnon, although I'm not sure if the location is conducive enough. Let's wait until the land grant should be approved. Expect this to come forth early next year.

Awesome! Although I think it would be best to have the practice fields artificial while the main field a true pitch, it's a great to have a real football facility in Mindanao. Hope to see this used as an incentive to bring the UFL or a superleague equivalent to all of the Philippines!

So they change the plan from the previous to this one. Well Congrats to people of Mindanao esp to Bukidnon. Now they can have a place to play. Hoping one day Azkals will be there By the way, when will the construction start and end? What's the seating capacity of this stadium? So the name is First Fruits Football Stadium hehe. Who knows, one day Bukidnon might make a team for UFL and this is their home turf hehe
Here another pic of the whole layout. The space beside the stadium will be used for its training ground

FIFA builds Mindanao football center in Valencia CityMALAYBALAY CITY (Bukidnon News/ 17 October) – FIFA (International Federation of Association Football), the world’s highest governing body for football, is constructing a P21.7 million (US$ 500,000) football field and training center in Valencia City. Ramon Manlunas, president of the Bukidnon Football Association announced yesterday that the province will have its “world-class football center” by summer of 2013, the expected time of completion of construction work. The project, the first in Mindanao, is released under the Goal Project 4 grant of FIFA and is meant to “create a bigger base for Philippine football and encourage grassroots development for the sport.” The Philippine Football Federation (PFF)-Bukidnon Football Association (BUFA) counterpart, Manlunas added, is a five-hectare land in Brgy. Hagkol donated by the Gamboas in Valencia City. BUFA will run the center upon its expected opening in May 2013, he added in the press conference in time for the launching of the PFF Smart National Club Championship -Northern Mindanao Playoffs which will be held here from October 17 to 21. Manlunas said Bukidnon’s win in the bid took a long way in the FIFA selection process. The other contenders for the project, he said, were the football association in the cities of Dapitan, Davao, and Tagum. He said the 17 provincial football associations in Mindanao eventually voted to locate the facility in Bukidnon. “We are at the center, the heart of Mindanao. Valencia City is also the heart of Bukidnon (geographically),” he added. The project was initially offered to Del Monte Philippines, Inc. in Manolo Fortich in 2010, where there is a wide following for football. But Manlunas said the donation of land in Valencia City gave it away. The groundbreaking at the project site was held in July 2012, Marie Joy Gamboa, BUFA secretary general told Bukidnon News. FIFA is supervising the construction of the project, BUFA officials said. FIFA, an acronym for Fédération Internationale de Football Association or International Federation of Association Football, is an international governing body of association football or soccer, futsal and beach soccer. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, it hosts the World Cup football competition, the latest was on 2010 in South Africa and the next will be on 2014 in Brazil. According to FIFA’s website (www.fifa.com), the Philippines team Azkals ranks 147 around the world and 21 in Asia as of October 3 this year. Azkals’ latest friendly game was against Kuwait’s Al-Azraq yesterday where it has suffered a loss of 2-1. (Walter I. Balane/Bukidnon News) bukidnonnews.net/news/2012/10/fifa-builds-mindanao-football-center-in-valencia-city/
So this will be complete by May 2013
