Duric "singaporean wannabe " grandpa has been a thorn on Philippines side . A very annoying thorn. I bet he will retire when he's lost all his hair. wow really? don't result to racism guy. he's a proud singaporean and has been for about a decade now so you should respect that

Sounded like a great match. Can't watch the delayed tv coverage. Hoping for a better result on Saturday! not great for LMSFC for me coz they cant even setup a good goal chance or counters. haay eyesore. star players are blaming too much their mates but if work rate to be asked, hmmm. too obvious for the mates.

Singapore Cup: Loyola held scoreless in controversial semis lossRENEE AVENA FOPALAN October 4, 2012 9:47pm The Loyola Meralco Sparks started the first leg of their semifinals campaign at the 2012 Singapore Cup with a defeat in the hands of the Tampines Rovers, 2-0, on Thursday at the Clementi Stadium in Singapore. Chad Gould's second half goal was disallowed by notorius referee Sukhbir Singh, after Kim Woo Chul's free kick came before the whistle. Kim disagreement to Singh's call yielded a second yellow card for the Korean who was sent off at the 58 minute mark. The home team was agressive from the get-go, keeping Rox Dorlas and Anto Gonzales busy along with keeper Ref Cuaresma. The first goal of the match game at the 29th minute, after Sead Hadzibulic fed 42-year-old Aleksandar Duric, who lobbed the ball over Loyola keeper Ref Cuaresma. Loyola was given a quick opportunity to respond through a free kick at the 35th minute, but Hadzibulic cleared Simon Greatwich's attempt. Sensing the immediate need for additional offense, head coach Kim Chul-Su sent in fever-stricken James Younghusband at the 37th minute to replace Greatwich. The Singaporeans continued to pressure Loyola's defense, but the Filipino squad had one last push before the halftime whistle. Phil Younghusband locked in for an attempt, but was well-challenged by Benoit Croissant. Referee Sukhbir Singh did not blow his whilstle, though, as the home team kept a 1-0 lead heading to the break. Come the second half, the Rovers found Ahmad Ratiff for an early goal at the 49th minute. Down 2-nil, James started to make his presence felt in the 55th minute with a header that went wide. In the 57th minute, Jufri Taha yielded a free kick to Loyola's Kim Woo Chul. The Korean sailed the ball towards Chad Gould who sent it to the back of the net with a header for Loyola's first goal of the match. Referee Sukhbir Singh, however, disallowed the goal, as the visiting players surrounded him in disagreement. The goal didn't count for the Sparks as Kim took the shot before the referee's whistle. In the process, Kim was slapped with his second yellow for contesting the call as Loyola continued the match with one man down. The Younghusband brothers each had their moments late, but nothing concrete materialized until the final whistle blew to give the Rovers a 2-0 victory at home. Loyola is the only foreign team standing after Japanese selection Albirex Niigata and Myanmar's Kanbawza were booted out of the quarterfinals. The Sparks reached the semifinals after defeating local club Geylang United 2-1 in the knockout round. In the quarterfinals, the UFL squad defeated Myanmar's Kanbawza in the first leg, 3-1, before settling for a draw in the second leg, 2-2, for a 5-3 aggregate score. The second leg of the semifinals will be on Sunday at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/276898/sports/football/singapore-cup-loyola-held-scoreless-in-controversial-semis-loss

i think this is the first time Mark Hartmann and James YH didn't start the game for the Sparks. James was under the weather and i think it's coach's decision to not to start him but why didn't Mark start the game? where is Cortina? he's not even in the team roster. if ever we lose on Sunday, it's okay since this is already an achievement for the entire Philippine football now AKTV should air the game live, they have made a promise that they will air the Semi-final game of the Sparks but they failed to do it.

After reading some comments, I Think Bro's Phil and James is too eager to score to Win to prove something, , , , , , Pero bawi na lang sa Jalan Besar relax lang basta focus wag na masyado magisip. Bawi Bawi.. Yaka pa yan..
So guys walang nangyaring TV coverage kanina sa game? Halos kakauwi ko lang kasi. Salamat..

the match would be shown on sunday evening at a delayed telecast basis because airing time is at 9pm. reason being the pba broadcast is king, as always. i read that hartmann didn't start because of a tactical decision made by the coach kim. unfortunately, i'm told it didn't work out too well. here's hoping for a monumental upset on sunday!

Loyola Meralco Sparks vs. Tampines Rovers match video highlights.. I tried to post the video.. But I don't know how to do it.. Lol! So just check it here.. ;D >>>>>>>>> www.espnstar.com/videos/item868224/If you watch the video, the foul inside Loyola's box was clearly a penalty.. and the Goal which the ref disallowed was really Bullsh*T! The ref looked like he allowed the play and when he realized that it was a goal, he waived it off.. That referee Sucks!!

I agree that the foul in the Loyola box should have been a penalty. However, I heard that Loyola's disallowed goal was due to the free kick being taken before the whistle was blown. We can't hear whether this is true or not on the video though. Duric's goal was pure finesse. Ref seemed helpless against it.

poor officiating! had that penalty been given to us, it would surely change the tempo of the game

Thanks shanks608..
hahaha POOR ref. Penalty in not given and a disallowed Goal.. WTF!.. Anyway yeah! if you see on the video it shows that FK is taken before the whistle, BUT.... the ref's mind freezes haha He looks at the ball if it will go at the back of the net or not and then decides to disallowed it, He should have whistled continuously even when the FK is taken so that everyone knows that it is a foul one.

if not FIFA sanction match whoever runs the tournament have their own referees. so if by chance LMSFC surpass this semis as winner they had to have A+ game and wit to outsmart the host, coz they dont take football in sg lightly. firstly, competitive performance makes the LMSFC hotshots looks better.
