why cant we base some of our chants to the tune of filipino folk songs or nursery rhymes? The best chants around the world, club or nations, come from simple songs that are easy to sing, and usually folk songs. Bahay Kubo faajose posted a video of guys singing in Tagalog, during a tennis match in the SEA games. THAT was awesome. Not that bull "Azkaaals...1 team 1 fight" rap/rock . How the can you chant that during a match?

Very true. The simpler the better and therefore the easier it is for the crowd to pick it up

Got a question Katipunero. What do you think of a banner made with Rizal's profile superimposed on the Katipunan flag?
Or maybe Alcantara super imposed on the flag of Catalan or another Katipunan flag?
You see Che Guevara everywhere, the RP should do something different. SOMEONE RUN WITH IT!!
Rizal's profile superimposed on the Katipunan flag. or Paulino Alcantara in same. a banner, Tifo, flag whatever. Set up the Ambiance.

philyhsrightboot: Meron akong Salamat ng The Dawn pati ng Pare Ko na chants, pero ewan ko lang kung tatangkilikin nila, I also made one chant by the tune of My Way and the Battle Hymn of the Republic. kikomatsing: I agree with the thing that we have a different culture here. But admit it, Ultras culture is the norm, wala namang masama kung si Horlicks at si faajose ang nag-iingay dito para magkaroon ng chants. They were the trailblazers here IMO. Tinamad nalang siguro si horlicks kakapost dito siguro sa kakaunting enthusiasm sa fan/Ultra Culture. he deleted his account diba? I've been reading his account about what's ultra culture in other countries. his thread about Ultras Culture I believe only accumulated just 15 posts (?). Ang nakikita kong problema sa kanila ay sila ay "funded" ng PFF (well sabi nung isang "kaholero" na ang "kaholeros" are the last at the pecking order of PFF), and not by the fans itself. I volunteered to provide flags and they said that "Your suggestion is not on our gameplan, sorry." Damn, If I am the organizer of that Kaholeros group, I would prepare more of the visuals and not of the drums! more chants and visuals! And I would practice a month before the match, rather than a week after announcement of the practices via email, in which in my opinion really sucks. They should have conducted an impromptu crash course of chants sa facebook page ng Azkals, kahit isang Youtube video man lang. ayos na yun sir sergie..nakikita naman natin yung sacrifice nung mga "kaholeros". at least someone is doing something. ayon nga sa linya ng isang action movie na napanood ko, THEY WALK THE WALK, NOT JUST TALK THE TALKmedyo noob pa ang pinas sa larangan ng football ultra culture. malay mo, yan ang maging spark. sali ka na lang samin, if you like. me and my boys are planning to (ay meron na pala) magtayo ng FIRM. medyo hindi pa kami firm-handed. we were like a dozen pa lang. but all of them ay palaban. we are all willing to die for our national football team. one of my boy is trying to contact or looking sa web for any member of SRI LANKA's firm. para magpa-usapan ang laban sa labas ng RMS. para magkaroon na ng......alam mo na i doubt mas malabo pa to sa stagnant na ilog hehehe but at least, may CASUAL FOOTBALL FIRM na ang Philippines..kahit kenkoy-kenkoyan lang......muna. All Hail to the Men and Women of KAHOLEROS!

--------Viva La Republica filipina VIVA!!!-----------
Found it written on a Katipunan flag.
You throw some uniquness into the mix. Acknowledge the role Spain played in Philippine history. Unique in Asia. Just a simple chant in Spanish: VIVA LA REPUBLICA FILIPINA...VIVA... T agalog, English, Spanish. If the only chant in Spanish is "Viva La Republica..."...at least use that. Deep manly voices.
I really hope the RP fans doesn't turn into the so called "supporters" here in the USA. Too many drums, and horns. no real atmosphere. Except maybe Portland Timbers, they actually sing.

It's bad that the PFF is handling the "Ultras group" and not by the fans. It's good in some way but let the fans do the trick. "Ultras" by definition have nothing to do with the front office or any organizational body. They are an entity by itself. I didn't know the PFF were creating so called "Ultras". Those aren't Ultras. those are just people watching the game. If that's the case, I feel bad for you guys. The PFF issuing scarfs and chants would seem well...kind of fake. I hope that isn't the case. "Ultras" come naturally, and they are just that: "ULTRAS". If the PFF insist on creating a fanbase. That should not stop other fans from creating their own groups. Really what you guys need is a Professional league and players. That's it. I don't see that happening at all. You can't appeal to Foreign players forever.

Well I've heard ko na ang magkabilang panig ng istorya, well kahit ako sasabihin ko narin na they're doing something, basta they must promise us na kaya nilang buhayin ang atmosphere if they are the ultras that they talking about. diba?
But after match sa sunday, let's make it a new dawn, dapat may maging catalyst para sa isang firm dito sa pinas. I'm an idealist, but that doesn't mean na ang mga kagaya ko ay nangangarap lang.
I've fearing the worse sa sunday pag nag one man army ako sa blue bleachers.

It reminds me of the Nike campaign for the US squad during the 2006 WC. They resurrected the "Don't thread on me' slogan used in the Revolutionary War. With a country with so much history we should find a way to harness that fighting spirit that Filipinos have shown.

well Having the face of Paulino Alcantara on a banner with the title "TRAILBLAZER" isn't bad while waving the flags of Catalonia and the Philippines right?
How about waving the flag of the Philippines that was flown during the Colonial era? Admit it but one of the best influences of Spaniards here is football.

How about Lapu-Lapu holding the Philippine and Azkal flag plus puting in the name of the Ultras group as "the Maharlikan Ultras" ;D ;D ;D

"trailblazer" and Catalan/Philippine flag sounds pretty sweet. So it's the Maharlikan Ultras now? Flares, and crackers baby...

Anyname would be good, but the meet-up goes as smooth as possible, then we decide the gameplan.
