FINALLY!!!Were finally going to meet them! can't wait to see this at RMS. this game should proved to be RIVALRY RENEWED!!! I think what happened was that the Philippines and Malaysia agreed to a matchup and they had to schedule it with FIFA, that is why we knew and FIFA took some time to put it on their books, so to speak. All I can say about Philippine soccer for 2012 is, Wow!

Azkals battle Malaysia in tough friendlyBy Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer11:22 pm | Monday, December 19th, 2011 MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Azkals face another stern test early next year when they battle reigning Suzuki Cup champion Malaysia in a Fifa-sanctioned friendly at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. With the match falling on an international friendly date on Feb. 29, the Azkals hope to have a full complement of players for the showdown against the Malaysians, who have won every major title in Southeast Asian since 2009. Clubs are inclined to release players for national team duty during international friendly dates, which means the Azkals could have Europe-based standouts Stephan Schrock, Paul Mulders, Dennis Cagara, Jerry Lucena, Ray Jonsson and goalkeepers Neil Etheridge and Roland Muller for the match.“It will be another good test for our team,” said Philippine Football Federation president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta Monday. “As we have said in the past, playing more international matches will only improve our team.” The match against Malaysia will form the final phase of the preparation of the Azkals for the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup in Kathmandu, Nepal, where they have been grouped with North Korea, Tajikistan and India. The Malaysians are ranked four places higher than the Azkals in the Fifa rankings at No. 155. The friendly will mark Malaysia’s first return to the Rizal Memorial since 1991 when it lost in an upset to the Philippines, 0-1, in the SEA Games. sports.inquirer.net/29511/azkals-battle-malaysia-in-tough-friendly
Looks like Azkals will be in full team hehe GOOD LUCK!!!

Still don't know if Schrock and Mulders could play here because of injury. Mulders really wants to play for Azkals Neil confirms he will play here. On Twitter someone asked this and replied yes he will play

Still don't know if Schrock and Mulders could play here because of injury. Mulders really wants to play for Azkals Neil confirms he will play here. On Twitter someone asked this and replied yes he will play Mulders has just recovered and has returned to the pitch. As said in a press release earlier this week, I presume he will communicate with the ADO coaching staff so he can be released. We are still unsure of Schrocki, as the injury might take a few weeks to recover. His club actually wants him back to playing as soon as possible. Neil will definitely play.

Malaysia match is warm-up match for AFc Challenge Cup , I think they should only use players who also are ready for AFC Challenge Cup in this friendly.

It would be more likely that Paul plays than Stephan would. Depends on the form he has when 2. Bundesliga resumes.
