WOW! Is this already confirmed? Hope it is. An early preparation for 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup ;D If Malaysia will be our enemy where will it be held? In Manila or Kuala Lumpur? I hope here in MANILA.

Historically we've only beaten malaysia once and that was in 1991 at RMS also with a German Coach. The Score was 1-0

Sure na bang dito napin ung game against Malaysia? Sana dito para maulit ulit ung nangyari nung 1991 with a more favorable score to us FULL TEAM tayo dito. It's on FIFA calendar Well there are 2 reports in Philippine newspapers, one saying it's Malaysia one saying, Philippines still trying to get either Malaysia or Vietnam. Mike Limpag has "tweeted" that it's Malaysia and that he gets his news from Dan Palami(see @mikelimag). I'm hoping it would be Malaysia since we've played Vietnam already. As for we being 'full team' We'll be missing the most important guy in our defense, who also is our team Captain, Aly B, Rob Gier also is injured(but hopefully fully recovered by then as he said there is "no tear" in his injury. Juan Luis Guirado should be making his first appearance for us at CB(as some news reports has said). Hopefully Jerry Lucena will show up and there is also Jason Sabio backing up the CB position. Until we get there I'm worried about our defensive line. Oops forgot to mention Oliver P. They should try to get him, I think, he plays for an amateur league so shouldn't be too hard to pry loose from his club(unless his work won't permit it). Man I'm excited! What a busy 2012!!

The Malaysia wikipedia has confirmed the Fixture, were just waiting for the FIFA site to "confirm it too".
As far as I know Malaysia is a really good national team, well trained and better experience (as a team) These Suzuki Cup Champions are surely a Threat so The Azkals should not "mess around" anymore.
Also It has been 4 years since we met their senior team and that was the 2007 AFF Championship (Suzuki wasn't a big sponsor that time) and we lost 0-4. During that time the notable players we have were Aly B. James YH, Chieffy and Anton.
Their roster is really a tough one, every part of their team is good. ("Although we don't have any Idea yet who will they send here") We would really watch out for their striker named Safee Sali, he is really good and a Lethal striker for Malaysia, and also there are a lot of good players in their team but too many to mention. Altough you might have heard Khairul Che mat, he's one of malaysia's great goalkeepers right now, for 5'7 he's good.
Right now thinking how the Azkals will beat their team is to play hard and no more lay-offs, and we must make sure that are midfield is intact and the strikers should be taking "good" shots. And one more is to Hope that we have a Good roster entering the AFC Challenge cup.
Here's some Videos
Malaysia has alot of available goalkeepers so we may not see Khairul this feb.
Oh BTW according to their wikipedia page the match is Feb 20 not 29.

Nice info Tiggy! Now I'm confused with the date, FIFA friendly sched is 29th, if we play on the 20th we'll miss quite a few overseas players.

I think what posted in Malaysia is wrong. The spelling of Manila there is "Manilla" ;D I think what posted there isn't true. What posted in their page should also appear in FIFA website but as of now, Malaysia still has no opponents. I do hope that Feb 29 against us will appear on FIFA Better in this wikipage en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippines_national_football_team_fixtures_and_results

for know this is a battle of the sources, we'll just have to wait for a confirmation on Fifa.com or whatever source from the PFF.
according to Malaysia's wiki page, our (azkals) fixture is on feb 20 then they will go to Australia to face Saudi Arabia on feb 29.

So this concludes that if the friendly is confirmed it will be at Feb29. "We will not go to the challenge cup without an International friendly" so don't expect nothing will happen at Feb 29. a Tune up is Vital my friends.
