This is a decent result especially without the Younghusbands. It will improve our chances of playing a friendly in the future against the Australia and New Zealand men's teams.
Please post any replays in the video section if you find any.

I haven't seen the game. But based only on fact that we're not that the opponent is the Australian olympic team , I'd say that I'm pretty impressed with the result!

if ever there is such a thing as a pretty loss, i guess our match early today is a proof of its existence. our defense was generally resolute and our offense was decent except for the fact that the team's inability to finish was a bit glaring. but looking at the bigger picture and considering the caliber of our opponents, i'm happy w/ the result mabuhay pilipinas!

Great game for the azkals.
No Offenses to Anybody, but i think Beloya or Doctora should be in the starting lineup rather than Araneta.. look at what happened in the second half.
Azkals were very careful in their defense in the first half and the Australian U-23 team has been capitalizing on the gaping holes in the azkal defense. Also the Australian U-23 team has been really controlled the midfield and the azkals most of the time in this half are being impatient (except for Wolf who has been scintillating on offense in this game)
I Like the back line in this game. Even though they were caught napping sometimes, but their defense is awesome and they know their roles in this game.
In the second half, the azkal offense and defense stepped up big time. they were presurring the ball, that creates opportunities for them (e.g the Beloya huge chance to equalize the game). I think they were dead even in the possession with the Australian U-23 team in the 2nd half.
Totally, The whole game was great and i am looking forward their performance last night to the succeeding games. Kudos to the Azkals

nag iba ang tempo nung naglaro na si balot doctora. tignan mo ang passes. maganda ang condition ni balot dahil sa training with the stallions. magaling si balot sa counter attack medyo lack of passing pa for counter attak 1 to 2 toch lng sana. i think kung wla mga youghusband may kapalit na cya

Mike Limpag's thoughts about the recent game.. cebufootball.blogspot.com/2012/02/fair-play-thats-way-to-play.htmlI kinda agree with him on the Ian Araneta part even though I've been bashing Ian a lot of times, specially during the game. He still deserved the chance to show that he still got it. but the sad part is, he doesn't have it anymore.. maybe with lesser opponents. He should've been subbed at the time everyone noticed that he wasn't effective anymore. He's trying so much to get into the score sheet that he forgets that this is a team game. Well so much for Ian, the other Araneta was so obnoxious in twitter last night that he was bashing the coach for not letting his players start. He may have a point but still, he aint the coach. I agree with Mike on this. he should've shown a little decency just for the fact that he is one of the head of UFL. and one other thing.. i agree that the camera men during the match were so busy scouting.. scouting women! LOL! one lucky bastard spotted was Cedelf with his "Oohh Lala!" seatmate! haha
