Expect a very physical match against the Olyroos this Thursday. The Aussies aren't fast IMO, but they compensate this for their physicality. Expect more or less Kuwait-ish physicality: Angel & Phil flying in the air, De Jong-ish tackles, flying elbows. This will definitely frustrate a lot of our forwards and mids because the Olyroos defense is solid and very dynamic in positioning.

Decent game. 3 - 1 win. On Azkals next game please don't let Guirado take penalty shots again.

If PHI have a chance for penalty here in this match, they should not waste it. Phil and James are very good at penalties.
GOODLUCK hope we could get another win in this camp

Australia are very direct in their football. They don't have the creative spark or pressing pace but they are much more physical, large and have enough skill to get the job done. We'll be esentially be playing a team with a European style with a large English influence.
I don't want to expect in terms of results. All I want is to see:
1. Appropriate tactics and system (Weiss) 2. Better Substitutions (Weiss) 3. Similar style to Al Ahli game where we were solid at the back and smart on the counter 4. MAybe a sense of belief we can have a go at it in Nepal but perhaps thats to be saved for the Malaysia match
Everything else will be just gravy

Hello All,
BAD NEWS:
Just got news, the Younghusbands are now in the Philippines practicing at the turf with Loyola. No info on why they are home(maybe promised by PFF to Loyola to get them back sooner?). A friend who attended Azkal practice in the UAE today also mentioned that they weren't with the team. Winning will be alot harder
GOOD NEWS:
More players will be able to strut their stuff, Beloya & Doctora come to mind. Injury has also showed us some gems. Sabio for Gier, now we really should be sure that Sabio's improvements is real and not a fluke. Chieffy's absence also showed us Marwin's quality. If you saw the game you'd see him with very good handling and discipline belieing his young age. Time for someone to step up for the absent brothers.
THE DOWNER:
You can bet Ian A(coaches fave) will start

Kung kailan pa kailangan tsaka pa sila nawala. If Azkals lose tomorrow, fans will surely BLAME Loyola Meralco Sparks for this. Just having concern in attacking. Eh HARI NG SABLAY si Araneta eh. Let's see if he can goal for 2012 in his career The good side is we can see our other players capabilities. Since Etheridge will man the defense with Jonsson, good luck to them in defending. Malakas naman sila eh. Azkals lose 2 players and Aus U-23 also lost 2 players. Think this is coincidence ;D

Oh NO! No JYH and PYH? James' presence on the flank is a real threat on our attack. I hope Misagh steps it up on the flanks like he did during the Icheon Citizens match. No offense, but I don't want Araneta to start. I would rather like to see Beloya starting than him. I bet when he receives a long ball or a through pass he'll stumble like he always does.. Well, I won't be expecting a win on the next match but at least a positive showing from the team.
