As per AIFF website and barring any unforeseen problems India will come to the Philippines to do battle with the Azkals. www.the-aiff.com/index.htmwww.fifa.com/associations/association=phi/fixturesresults/gender=m/index.html#The India squad, as of June 2013, is at 147th and its last 3 matches were a loss against Myanmar, a win against Guam and Taiwan. They will be playing Malaysia right after the Philippines. They played Palestine on May 22 2013 to a 1-1 draw but it is not in the FIFA database. The Indian team is much like HK in rankings and should be considered a very dangerous threat. More importantly, will the Azkals again depend on great team play like when we played India in 2012 or will we depend on individual heroics like this years Myanmar and Hong Kong match?

India playing SAFF Championship in September, therefore friendly has been cancelled. Setback for Indian football as friendlies with Malaysia, Philippines cancelled Jun 18, 2013 New Delhi: Indian football team’s hopes of rising in FIFA rankings have been dashed with cancellation of two international friendlies against Philippines and Malaysia owing to rescheduling of the SAFF Cup. India were scheduled to play against Philippines on September 6 and Malaysia on September 10, both away matches falling on listed FIFA dates. Wins in those games would have helped the currently 147th-ranked side garner points and improve its ranking. India are ranked 147th in the world in football. AFP The All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed the development. The eight-nation SAFF Cup is slated to be held at Kathmandu from September 1 to 11 while the AFC Cup quarterfinals — which also features East Bengal – are scheduled for September 17 and 24. “It is unfortunate but then we had no option,” AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said. Due to a cramped Asian calender we couldn’t postpone the SAFF Cup. The option of moving the SAFF Cup was explored but a few teams from other countries are playing in the AFC Cup,” he added. Earlier, in November last year, an international friendly against Yemen was cancelled after the visiting team informed AIFF that they won’t be able to make the trip due to ticketing problems. It was learnt that the AIFF was now working on the possibility of playing a friendly against Tajikistan on August 14, in preparation for the SAFF Cup. www.firstpost.com/fwire/setback-for-indian-football-as-friendlies-with-malaysia-philippines-cancelled-884089.html

Another promising would-be friendly thrown in the Garbage section. I hope the PFF finds an appropriate replacement game soon.

This friendly will be held in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai, India. Since Nov 15 to 19 is under FIFA match days, expect a nearly full squad. Cagara and Muller are sure absent as Cagara's club has games on FIFA match days while Muller stated he's not available on Nov friendlies.
