Yes, noticed that as well Strikerbon. Maybe they just want to maintain match fitness for the next game. Phil looked like he was injured a few times clutching his knees. Is Loyola trying to beat a goal differential or something? Both Yh's looked very sharp, the coach was playing with fire using them when the game was already long won. Freddy was huge man! He gained major weight. Still looking good though, he had one or two chances in a very short time. Re: Chad Gould, I'm almost thinking he'd probably be a better striker than a CB. He just has a nose for the goal. What do you guys think(those who's been watching Loyola?). He mentioned that he was just 40% match fit (referring to Freddy). He was huffing and puffing but still have that striker instinct with with two shots on goal that led to Phil's hat trick.

Loyola is very exciting to watch. they're one of the best club who can make a goal from a team play. one of Gould's goal came from a wonderful play. i saw a lot of passes before the ball was put into the back of the net. Phil's assist to James is very beautiful, didn't expect that he is also trickery. Loyola is still missing the presence of S.Greatwich,Ashime and the 100% Gonzalez. would love to see them play against a foreign club because we cannot judge them in their Singapore cup and Indonesian tourney's game because they weren't complete back then

can someone please ,in lay mans terms please explain the changes made by UFL in the middle of the tournament please Apparently, they made a mistake in the matchups in the knockout round, that would make #1 seed Loyola meet #2 seed Global in just the quarterfinals. Normally, in correctly created tournament trees, the only way the #1 would meet the #2 is in the finals. They corrected the mistake before the round of 16 but after the UFL Cup has begun. But they thought that it would be a bad precedent if they change the rules midway thru the Cup (i.e. if they change rules midway thru a competition today, then it would be possible to change rules midway thru future competitions, e.g. a third ranked UFL Div2 team requesting for more promotion slots). So they reverted the bracketing to the old but bad one. Thus, we will be seeing Global versus Loyola in the quarterfinals. Yikes. I think it should be OK to correct the round of 16 format midway thru the Cup, as long as all qualified teams agree to it. Why push thru with the wrong format if all teams would like to correct it? Pachanga dodged a bullet here, they should be facing Loyola in the correct format, but now it is Global who would be facing Loyola this early.

slightly off-topic.. what happen to Pasargad? aren't they playing this upcoming league season? and also who will take Nomads place in the 1st division? the league is so slow in coping with things like this. how about Rufo's case? still no progress? his career has really been affected because of the lack of actions of the league

Many of the players have left the Club , some of them joined Manila Jeepney. They had trials in Mindanao and other regions , but still no news about them . They could be withdrawing from UFL ? It seems that no team will replace Nomads ?

Re: Chad Gould, I'm almost thinking he'd probably be a better striker than a CB. He just has a nose for the goal. What do you guys think(those who's been watching Loyola?). After posting the above a few days ago Chad was suddenly a striker again! Chad really looks good up front! He was responsible for Phils goals vs Global. He looked confident, strong and decisive. Seriously, with Loyolas new CB's and smooth gameplay I'd be surprised if they don't win the Cup. UFL Cup Most Improved Player, for me has got to be Matt Hartmann. This guy has found his groove and it's not on defense. At 24 years old I think he's still improving and has shown his improved offensive game. He looks like he lost weight and looks quick on the pitch. They lost Mark Hartmann but they got an improving Matt and Chad back up front and Joaco and Bonney in the back! What a team! Oh and Phil... deadly as ever. Global: Dunno how to put this kindly but they had so many players that underperformed last night. Angel Guirado, Mark Hartmann and Starosta to name a few. Bahadoran just back from injury was a no factor. You just got to have seen the game, They were outplayed in almost all facets of the game including the big name Azkals on the team. Jeff Christiaens did not play. The Slap! Angel Guirado was so frustrated he slapped Matt Hartmann from behind! Matt didn't react but Roxy Dorlas tried to protect Matt. It was a comical move really, something a bully does in high school but it just goes to show you how bad Angel was feeling during the game. The officiating ...sucked. To many fouls that should've been called in my opinion(a reason Angel was so frustrated during the game). Jason de Jong At 4+ minutes he did another "de Jong Special" an uncontrolled leg tackle that probably warranted a red in some other league. The best game so far in the Round of 16 games. Chieffy scored a brace in their win earlier. Archers look real good. No really "big name player" but between Chieffy, Pasilan, Pasinabo, Deyto and a good defense they look to surprise if their taken lightly! They beat Ceres and we all know Ceres ain't no joke.
