What needs to be done? minimize poor marking which has resulted to a number of yellow cards, another is for central midfielder to distribute or pass or set-up pieces unpredictably. In this match, we are very tentative in the first half most of the action is in right flank then left in the second half. . .

You know it's a young team when Jason De Jong is the one wearing the Captain's armband.
And that save by Deyto!! He clearly deserved a clean sheet in his first cap.
Oh, and did anyone see that tackle by Rob Gier inside the penalty box?!

am I the one who felt a bit nervous when anton came in and gier was subbed out?
My MOTM is obviously Deyto guirado is slow Rota really deserves another start against azerbaijan hartmann was ok, we could've seen more I think steuble and schrock will be a dangerous duo and finally no more looooooooong balls

We got lucky, but great game with P. Deyto. He hurried some goal kicks.
I would love to see more of Mark Hartmann and Porteria.

He was okay. He had his moments. But Rota was pretty good. Thank goodness.

Rota, Anton and Aly can probably hold the CB position for a few more years after Gier and Juani have retired for international play. That being said finding younger CBs should still be a priority for the long term.

About that disallowed goal, that was a handball, right?

That being said finding younger CBs should still be a priority for the long term. Not much difference on their ages as Anton is already 32, Aly is 30 from Gier 33, Juani 34. . . Rota is still serviceable for few years as he is only 29. In the Malaysia match he played mainly RB position. . . But if Carlie recovers, Dooley can slide Rota to one of CB's position. Christiaens has established himself in LB is only 22 have a long way to go. . . the absences of Cagara and Jonsson both LB is not much felt as Christiaens played solidly. For me, utilize Amani more so as he will confident. With Dooley around, it is not farfethed as he showed some trust on his substitutes (used 5 in Malysia match) and young players (OJ and Kenshiro were fielded).
