some sources says Baku not Dubai. . . I hope it will be in Dubai as it hosts a huge expatriate Filipino community so it will look like a home match for Azkals.

Unlike the Malaysia friendly where I hope and expect an almost entirely local based squad, with hopefully just one or two additions for the CB and GK positions. This friendly should serve as an oppurtunity for our new coach to have a feel for our European talent, or at least the ones available for the Challenge Cup.

this should serve as an opportunity for those players who aren't given enough exposure.

This friendly should serve as an oppurtunity for our new coach to have a feel for our European talent, or at least the ones available for the Challenge Cup. Among the overseas based players, Schrock, Etheridge, Steuble and Lucena are a must in this match. . . All four are available in Challenge Cup though both Steuble and Lucena will only be available after May 18th a day before the Challenge Cup tournament commences. . . Why not call - up Cagara and Patino? well, they are not available in Challenge Cup due to their respective club's scheduled matches which coincide with Challenge Cup so what's the use of calling them in this Azerbaijan friendly. . . How about Mulders, Jonsson and Angel Guirado? I think it's time to part ways with these guys and just focus on developing local based talents and try new prospects like Rota and Pettys.

Reports are that Mulders and Etheridge are probably out for the Azkals. Hopefully they are the only withdrawals.
