Etheridge, Mulders doubtful for Azerbaijan friendly 2014-02-26 13:00:00 Philippine internationals Neil Etheridge and Paul Mulders are doubtful to join the squad in the upcoming friendly against Azerbaijan in Dubai after the pair suffered an injury. Etheridge returned to Crewe Alexandra, on loan from Fulham FC, last night and featured in their 0-1 loss against Stevenage. The goalkeeper will be with the Football League One side until April 13, 2014. Mulders recently joined SC Cambuur in the Dutch Eredivisie and will be with the club until the end of the season. Both players were last called up to the national team in the 2013 Philippine Football Peace Cup. www.azkalsfootballteam.comDoes it mean they got injured on the day of the call up or because they have games near March 5? The article is a bit confusing.

Mulders and Etheridge out for Azerbaijan This is confusing me..If we keep on changing the lineup it might cost us a match. I hope Dooley can pull it off though. This will be a great experience for the Azkals against two high profile teams.

They are actually replacements due to circumstances beyond the azkals managent's control like injuries that they suffered as what reports are saying. At least the vacated spots can be used for the exposure of younger players.

i read over the net that crew is hoping that neil's thigh pain is not that serious maybe its the reason why he was opted out on the friendly, for paul , i think this is mainly because he is figthing his place over his new team baka nagdecide na skip muna pakitang gilas muna sya sa new team nya and as per the net reading as well, medyo consistent na he is being tap as a regular replacement coming off the bench, he is not getting any younger as well so he needs to show off that he deserve to be in the team and he is worth the playing time, i do understand pag that is the reason for paul skipping the friendlies , he needs to earn for a living heheh IMHO lang po
