The Philippine Azkals look to secure their first win under Coach Thomas Dooley as they take on Nepal Friday night (Saturday morning in Manila) at the Al Arabi Stadium in Doha, Qatar. With two games under his belt, Dooley has a record of one draw and one loss to begin his tenure with the national team. Although still without a win, Dooley was impressed with the first two games of the Azkals, and now looks forward for the team to score goals and win matches. "I was very pleased how we played in the first two games," said Dooley. "Everything we talked about what we want to do, the players delivered." "Now we can focus on the offense, trying to understand tacticaly how we can create chances and need to be all on the same page all the time," added Dooley. Aside from missing a number of foreign based players, the Azkals will also miss defender Jeffrey Christiaens who did not join the squad due to injury. "Jeffrey was one of the best players in the last game and would have been great (to have and) keep the defense as much as possible together as we can," said Dooley. However Dooley admitted that this will be a great opportunity for others to step in, especially the three first time callups in Charles Pettys, Curt Dizon and Daisuke Sato. "This is a great opportunity to somebody else to step in and show how much he can offer," said Dooley. "I want to give them some experience (on the field)." This is the second meeting between the Philippines and Nepal in all competitions. The last meeting was in Manila in October 2011, where the Azkals won the match 4-0 and Phil Younghusband netting twice. azkalsfootballteam.com/news.php?id=479

This team organization is ridiculously good btw. I'm getting goosebumps lol.... Though it seems Nepal's midfield's technically superior. It really shows what a real manager can do to any team.
Also, whoever is #19 (I think he scored too...) deserves to be in a professional league. His touches are really good.

The Philippines has most of the play and the possession so far. Dooley has done wonders for this team.
