A very slow pace compared to the game against the afghans and passing is too slow maybe the heat is giving them some trouble, they all looks too tired. Aguinaldos passes seems so off. We played under our capabilities today, but a win is a win. We must perform well on saturday to secure that second spot. Gonna watch the turkmen vs afghans later,

Just hoping later match between the two "stans" will get physical that both sides will incur many yellows. . . so we will be seeing suspensions on Saturday

disappointed with our finishing but Laos played better defensively especially their keeper. We just have to do better against Turkmenistan.

Good result! 2 wtf moments from Phil! And from Rob and Amani too... you're right. gier was a bit off while amani's passing was all over the pitch. i guess you can forgive the newbie being this his 1st major cap for us. but phil's inconsistency is unforgivable. for a player w/ his stature and skill, his wavering gameplay today was a big letdown. i sure hope he brings his primo game come saturday. we'll need that golden boot of his when push comes to shove

i think the boiling temperature definitely affected the psyche of the Azkals. . . and they will have to endure the similar heat on Saturday

this time i don't want to blame specific players as they delivered us the win and for me I am somewhat satisfied with it. . .

After watching the hightlights of this match, I came up to choose Rota as Man of the Match. . .his goal paced and woke up their early lethargic performance. . .

Another player who impresses me is De Jong. . .He distributed the ball well, it's just mainly the receiving end of his passes doesn't have control on first touches. . .

it didn't seem as hot as previous opening games since they weren't given water breaks.
If anything I think they're either still recovering from the Afghanistan match or conserving themselves for the Turkmenistan match...or both.

Ganda ng pass ni balut kay phil.sayang. Open na open pa naman yun. Hndi fit masyado si phil. 1st half p lng pagod n pagod na. Early sub si schocky para makapahinga we need him fulltime vs turmenistan. Same as juani. Hndi nman cguro malaki injury nya kailangan nya kailangan lng cla ipa rest ni dooley cla for turmanistan. Anyway neil twits na papasok na si ruben need him sa speed behind enemy def para maging open ang midfield. So ganun pla tactics ni dooley. Even neil na appreciate nya. Thats teamwork. Hahhaha. Untog mo ulo mo sa pader. Hehehe. Balot goal!!!Hghe practice lng vs turk. Hnhaha

It is win against the Turkmen, or go home. Nothing else will matter at this point. Pray for a Turkmen win against Afghanistan.

Im expecting afghanistan to beat Laos on Saturday with 5 goals, so in my standing after RP-Laos + my assumption: Afghanistan - 4pts +5 GD Philippines - 4pts +2 GD Turkmenistan - 3pts +4 GD Laos - 0 pts -11GD
Now, if Afghanistan and Turkmenistan draw, heres the scenario later + my assumption of afghan win againsta Laos:
Afghanistan - 5pts +5GD Turkmenistan - 4pts +4GD Philippines - 4pts +2GD Laos - 0pts -11GD
With this scenario above, it makes sense, that Philippines must beat Turkmenistan at all cost, a draw would eliminate us. Now, if Turkmenistan beats Afghanistan with 1-0 later + my assumption of afghan win vs laos, heres the scenario:
Turkmenistan - 6pts +5GD Afghanistan - 4pts +4GD Philippines - 4pts +2 GD Laos - 0 pts -11GD
With the scenario above, a draw or a win will make us advance to the semis, a loss will eliminate us. So its important that in Saturdays game that we win, no matter what circumstance or scenario that we are looking at. The game on saturday will put pressure on the boys, and when our boys play will pressure, most of the time we win. Remember 2012 challenge cup against Tajikistan and 2012 Suzuki Cup against Vietnam? Crossing my fingers that we win! Goodluck to us!

I counted Aguinaldo's error, 6 errors. I am not a pessimist but I hope he look into this numbers and try to improve. Im just at awe in his physique. Man amani will learn a lot from Rob Gier and Juani. He looks comfortable with the ball except his crosses in the middle... Very accurate in passing the ball... to the coach.

Turkmenistan - 6pts +7GD Philippines - 4pts +2 GD afghanistan - 1pt - 3 GD Laos - 0 pts - -6 GD so on Saturday assuming we will loss on Saturday vs. the Turks(God forbid) by a goal we will have +1 that means Afghanistan must beat Laos by 5 goals (4pts. +2 GD)to advance... will be rooting for Laos on Saturday,
