Coach Dooley and Maldives coach Drago Mamic. Dooley didnt want to hold the trophy. "I'd rather touch it in the end." pic.twitter.com/OB5pMqcMV6 Isn't it considered bad luck to be touching the trophy before you win it?

Great coaches like Ancelotti, Guardiola and Mourinho were often criticised. So what makes you think Dooley should be immune to criticisms. . . This is an open Forum I have every right to criticise . Have a right to speculate, yeah I could become a tabloid columnist as one fellow forumer pointed out . . . That's essence of an open forum and social media, you express and verbalize your feelings as long it's done in civil manner. Respect each another opinions. Not to go down as low as crap talks between akoasiab and brimstone

Just like every coach in the Philippines. First, the coach will received praises like his a messiah. Second, a small group of people speculates his plans and methodologies. Fourth, bandwagon takes place when he starts to lose matches. Fifth and last, REPLACE!REPLACE!REPLACE! people treats the coach like a garbage who never did something to Philippine Football. I just like to say that we also needs to grow up as fans. A national team is a constant audition. There is never a "secure/automatic spot" for any player. Everyone is replaceable and it should be that way. So what, if Sato doesn't have a European experience. Do you see how he play?. Also the problem with us fans, is we put Europe into a pedestal. Don't get me wrong I can see why. Europe is the most recognizable platform in football. But people don't realized that Asia too is a great continent for football. That's why European teams scouts players in here. But come to think of it, people failed to recognized that Sato came from "Urawa Red Diamonds" from J.League which is comparable to most top flight teams in Europe. Agree to you Johnmarki, and south Americas football (CONMEBOL) are very competetive team as well, Hope we could find some talents there. I Agree with scouting talents in South America. I mean everywhere you go in the world will be a Filipino Community. So we might find some future Azkals in CONMEBOL..

As far as i am concern regarding coach dooleys choices, i dont have any problem with it as long as the players are responding well on the pitch,( he may even recall Araneta and gener again as long as the coach think they can perform well for the team :-) ) . So for me after seing the result on how our team are playing compared to the previous coach, well, i now trust all his choices on who he feilds on every game we play. I think he knows well his players capabilities, they may veterans or youngsters it wont matter because as we see the results, the team is improving on each game they play. And besides, he sees them daily on training so he based his choices on what he sees during their traning sessions and camps. And now back gor being an armchair coach, my starting XI for ghe semis Muller Sato Lucena Gier Rota Schrock Steuble JDJ reichelt Mulders PYH

for a friendly against NTs...YES! How about against clubs? Lat May 10, Azkals lost 1-2 in their friendly match against Bahrain Club Al Muharraq in Manama. Kenshiro Daniels scored for Azkals.

BTW, does anybody know the health status of Etheridge and Guirado. Can they sub in, if needed? My other question, since de Murga is with the team, can he still replace the departing Cagara in the lineup?

Are you referring to what akosiabab was suggesting about eating crap if/when Doctora scored a goal or won us the tournament?! Because that's all him, not me! Or are you saying "crap talks" in general?! If it's the latter than you can go do one!!

Im not really sure, but I believe this is the first time we have finished on top of a group in a major tournament. Qualifiers or main tournament. So I have a really good feeling about tomorrow's game.
