Yes, I noticed your comment on your blog that the players from Chonburi and Bangkok Glass will not be coming because the Thailand FA Cup Final is scheduled on the same day. They even have worse country vs club conflict with their scheduling than us. BTW, are you sure Muller will be released for the entirety of the Suzuki Cup? Isn't he starting for Servette FC in Switzerland which is currently tied for 2nd in the Swiss Challenge League and is fighting for promotion? Any news on whether Mike Ott will be released for this tournament? I remember Dooley mentioning saying a month or so ago that he hoped that Mike will be available. Mike is only playing for the reserve team of his club anyway. Maybe just 5 Thai players will be missing for Thailand in the friendly , incl team captain , still a very good team. No, I am not sure if Müller will be going to Vietnam. Maybe he will be included in the squad but only be available if they qualify for semifinals. Jerry Lucena should be ready according to Esbjerg club website. I really hope that Muller will get released by his club for the Suzuki Cup, Deyto is good but he is not that good yet, That miss kick against NEPAL was a sign that he still needs to learn more, If Muller will not be available for the Suzuki Cup who will be the Back up GK of Deyto? has Sacapano Retired from the National Team already?

Tomas Trigo is sub GK for Deyto at the moment . He is going to Thailand. Sacapano is sub GK for Ceres now , maybe Michael Casas first GK for Ceres should be given a chance...

Getting excited for the match. I think we can go either 3-5-2 or 4-1-2-1-2.
For 3-5-2:
Forwards: Phil YH - Reichelt Mid and Wingbacks: Sato - Mulders - Hartmann - Steuble - Rota Defs: Aguinaldo - Gier - Guirado GK: Deyto
For 4-1-2-1-2:
Forwards: Phil YH - Hartmann Att Mid: Steuble RM and LM: Dizon - Bahadoran Def Mid: C. Greatwich or Ott Defs: Sato - Gier - Guirado - Rota GK: Deyto

Halftime Thailand 1:0 Philippines Poor header clearance from the (Azkals) right led to a cross to onrushing players that resulted in a header. Goalkeeper could've done better.
The Thais enjoying more possession, the Azkals preferring to play faster, move forward faster, and taking shots faster. Thais with a 3-man backline and packing the midfield where they have success in defending the ball motion. The Azkals defending deep and mixing it up with short and long passes. Although the short passes have not been very successful. Difficulty in moving through the midfield.
If the Azkals find the key to unlocking that midfield and keep on moving the ball fast, the second half will be different.

So it ends 3-0 for the Thais. I just hope the whole game is just part of Dooley's experiments.

Poorest showing by the Azkals in a long time. It didn't help that the Thais were really on today. If we play like that next month we won't make it out of the group stage.
What's worrisome is that we won't have Shrock, Etheridge, and Cagara. Etheridge and Cagara gives us more options, but Shrock is critical to the success.

Dooley must be puzzling right now.. 4 quality CB's available with Alvaro, Guirado, Gier and Aguinaldo.. he played 3 of the played mentioned earlier who do you think will be partnering in the AFF Suzuki Cup.. time to park the buss in Vietnam and counter attacks...
Lets pray Muller will be given a green light by his club. Deyto just looked at that ball it hit a Thai player, didn't try to get it..

it was hard to watch couldn't penetrate the final 3rd & the rare chance that they did, they hesitated & wasted a lot of corners; the defense was in shambles & outpaced especially during counterattacks.

All the passing was in the backline, left to right, back and forth. They couldn't get through Thailand's midfield, which seemed to have three or four players swarming all over the ball when the Azkals sent the balls into the middle. Plus, Phil was forced to dribble more than he should because there was no space at all. In the second half, Reichelt was practically invisible and Steuble just wandered. I don't think Martin has been playing well recently, and he needs to step it up because he's important to that midfield. We missed Lucena in a big way. To see Alvaro Silva go up on a wasted counterattack late in the second half shows the lack of organization in this match. Silva is usually a stay-back defender. It was funny seeing Juani hit hard when he came in. He probably still has Dangda's elbow in mind from the last tournament. LOL ... Hopefully, we can recover from this and play well in the Cup, but those "feel good" matches against Nepal and Papua New Guinea didn't help much. We need tougher friendlies.
