I hate to rain on everybody's parade but that cooperative thing is very work-intensive. And it's not that I'm trying to dampen everybody enthusiasms it's just that the good intention may result to something else.
That P10 pledge, for me, is the easiest to do but again, questions may be raised. Where will it go? Who will handle the money?
For me, the best option for now, is to buy the Mizuno jersey. That is one way of giving back to the company that believed in the team (when nobody else was willing to give). It's quite expensive, I know, that is why I'm still saving for it.
I am not going to stop you guys from pursuing this angle, but if I may suggest another angle to support the team, one that is needed after the Suzuki cup?
It's to keep the awareness, to keep the team on the news. you can do this by doing what you are doing right now, talk about it. The news websites, newspapers, will eventually go back to the way it was, pre-Suzuki cup.
We can help keep the momentum going by one, commenting on any Azkal-related story on their sight, badgering them why they don't have any Azkal-related news..things like that.
Asia Brewery is planning a Manila invitational, and there's the home-and-away game against Mongolia in the Challenge Cup, if stories like these get more hits and reactions than the PBA stories, perhaps the media will finally make that shift.
Just a suggestion guys.
Go Azkals!!!
