A bit late but some news about this camp a few days ago:
The Complex Esportiu Futbol Salou, along with the Catalan Football Federation, will hold a football camp and training course for coaches on May 30th and 31st at Emperador Stadium, McKinley Hill, Taguig City and the United Football League (UFL) offices in Magallanes Village, Makati.
Albert Viñas of the Catalan Football Federation will manage the football camp. Viñas holds a UEFA Pro coaching license and has dedicated his life to the sport and the development and the formation of both players and coaches alike. Some of the personalities that Viñas has taught are Marc Bartra and Sergi Roberto of FC Barcelona, and the late Tito Villanova, who coached FC Barcelona to a La Liga title in 2013.
Viñas will teach the concept of Smart Football at the camp. Smart Football is the latest methodology used in the Catalan region and is based on the brain and its artistic ability.
The football camp will be open for children ages 8-16 years old and will be limited to 50 participants. The camp will hold two training sessions and one lecture for the players during both dates.
Separate session will be held for coaches. Only 20 coaches will be selected to participate in the camp. They will join the sessions at Emperador Stadium and then move to the UFL office for more coaching sessions.
Every coach and player participant will receive a certificate at the end of the football camp.

Spanish coach Albert Viñas flew to Manila last week to supervise the Catalan Football Camp. The camp was held at the McKinley Stadium over the weekend. The coach shared his thoughts about the program and their objective during their first trip to the Philippines.
“I wanted to see and understand the structure, the level, and the facilities of football in the Philippines,” said Viñas. “Our objective (during the camp) was to prepare training modules for both the kids and the coaches.”
With over 20 years of coaching experience, Viñas’ main objective in the country is to “translate the philosophy of Catalan football.” The Catalan region in Spain is designated as an autonomous community. It is comprised of four provinces including football powerhouse Barcelona.
“[That] The ball is the most important (aspect of Catalan football),” said Viñas. “The team control the ball and control the match through possession.”
Last weekend, almost 50 kids ages ranging from ages 8-16 experienced Catalan football with a well-organized training session coupled with lecture sessions with the coach about keeping themselves fit through proper nutrition.
Having trained some of FC Barcelona’s talents, Viñas admitted that he was able to handle certain aspects that helped them on their way to success.
“The most important thing that for me is to fix is the technique and the passion — training everyday, the passion helps them go to a higher level,” added Viñas. — CAL
