I hope Luke Woodland will get clearance from FIFA in order to play in this game. We still haven't see the performance of Kevin Ingreso. Both are great players too. Who knows, we might see them in action in this game. I hope they scouted Yemen's game vs Korea DPR.

After historic win against Bahrain, the Azkals must not be complacent with Yemen.. They must treat this match similar to last Thursday game... The Yemenis are no pushover, they are tough.. Though they lost 1 nil by NoKors they are playing to prove something. Their country is in the midst of civil war and the upcoming match will definitely fire them up to boost the morale to their already shattering homeland. Remember Iraq won Asian crown when they are in the middle of civil strife few years ago..... the weather in Doha are also favoring Yemen.

With more than 150,000 Filipino expatriates in Doha, I am expecting a crowd of Azkals supporters more than the 6,000 who attended in Bocaue..

Yemen is strong. They drew with Finland early this year for a friendly match. But I believe coach Dooley made his scouting already.

And just last year Yemen has drawn matches with Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait. Teams that has beaten Azkals in the past... Schrock's injury and Woodland's FIFA clearance still in limbo will surely affect the general mood in Azkals' camp...

If the Yemenis will caught Azkals napping, a loss is not a remote possibility...

Who knows, we might see them in action in this game. I hope they scouted Yemen's game vs Korea DPR. Apparently from what I was told, Woodland needed to get clearance not just from the English FA, but also the Welsh, Northern Ireland and Scottish FA's(UK home countries) as well, which led to the delay in getting a clearance from FIFA. Hopefully everything should be settled in time for the game against Yemen. As for the score, the Yemenis don't score that much, but don't give up much either, so I predict a 1-0 or 2-0 win in favor of the Azkals.

I think with our recent performance, in which I see our team really playing well if were against a not so quick Team. We always come up with a win. E.g turkmenistan, Bahrain, indonesia. But if we are against a quick team, we always see our team in danger of conceding goals. Just like against thailand, vietnam, myanmar. I havent seen Yemen play, but if they play a lot like Bahrain, I think we have a chance. Im predicting a 2-0 win for the Azkals.

Watched most of the 1st half of DPR Korea vs Yemen. DPR Korea clearly the superior team. They are fast, physical, able to string series of passes, and several good runs into the box. It's a surprise the score is only 1-0. From what I could tell of the Yemen offensive formation, and there was very little of it, they play a target forward. The set play on the free kick was great -- if the DPR Korea GK wasn't aware, that could've been a really good goal. On defense it looked like three in the back although the far right wing would drop back many times to make it four. I suspect that's due to an adjustment for a particular player.
Anyway, Yemen is beatable. Straight up or through the wings. Can't take these guys lightly, but we can do damage on this team. Gotta watch out for the set plays.
Go Azkals!

Just wondered. How hot does it get in Qatar in June? FIFA decided to move the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar (assuming it is not awarded to someone else bec. of the current investigations) to December instead of June, because of the extreme heat. Yet here we are playing in a WC qualifier.

FIFA decided to move the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar (assuming it is not awarded to someone else bec. of the current investigations) to December instead of June, because of the extreme heat. Yet here we are playing in a WC qualifier. Here in Dubai, UAE... today, now at 41 degree Celsius (12nn) in the evening at the same time of the game, the temperature will go down to 35 degree Celsius. Its not even the peak of summer... the peak is around mid-july to mid-august. the temperature can go above 50 degree in a normal day. time zone difference = UAE 1 hour advance from Qatar.
