PFF General Secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes confirms they have received from the FIFA Players’ Status Committee its decision dated 15 June 2015 accepting the request of PFF and player Luke Woodland for the latter’s change in Association team, and allowing Woodland to play for the national team of the PFF.

That makes him available to play for the Philippines against Yemen tomorrow.

For Filipino supporters watching the AZKALS game in Doha, please be advised that we are to use gate 7 & 8 of the stadium for entry.

My guess is they are going to play Woodland in this match against Yemen, possibly at centerback. They need to introduce younger and faster players at that position and with his pace, height, bulk and professional experience playing in England, Woodland will fit the bill quite nicely and what better way to do it than against the weakest team in our group.

Apparently Rota will be unable to play because of injury for this game. www.philstar.com/sports/2015/06/16/1466509/inspired-azkals-seek-win-no-2-vs-yemenis"The Azkals will miss injured mainstays Stephan Schrock and Simone Rota while Luke Woodland is still doubtful pending clearance to switch nations for the Fifa. “That’s a cause for other players to step up. Same thing that happened in the first game when Misagh came (for the hobbling Schrock), he performed. That should be the same tomorrow for those who will be fielded in,” said Palami. Gier said it’s imperative to dish out a “professional performance” and sustain a high level of hard work. “Those were the basis of our win against Bahrain. Everyone got their ground covered, they put their bodies on the line and made tackles,” he said.

Woodland got clearance from Fifa yesterday according to PFF website Does this mean that he will be able to play even he is not on the list announced earlier?

Yes I posted that earlier above on this thread and under the Woodland thread. I just wanted to highlight Rota's injury.
